I've stopped here a few times on bike trips. Normally, everything is fine, but definitely not this time. I found a seat closer to the road to look out for my friends and ordered a drink. They arrived a little bit later and we all ordered drinks, it was a couple of days ago, so very hot and a cold drink was the first priority. We grabbed some menus and then it all went downhill. The waiter, a different one to the one who brought our drinks, made the best effort I've seen in a while to ignore us, many times. After about 15 minutes of trying to grab his attention, we eventually got up and went to him to ask about ordering food, to be simply told they didn't serve food where we were sat. OK, fine, we moved to a table that did have food service and then waited another 10 minutes when we had clearly been sat with menus for at least 15 minutes before so we're ready to order. Order was placed, the food did arrive quickly and was very nice......and then we tried to get the bill. Given that there was only one other couple in the 'dining area' and a couple of people in the drinks area, we thought he might notice us this time, but we were wrong again. Even when he briefly looked right at us, he realised his mistake, quickly looked away and shot off inside! In the end, I went to the bar to pay at which point our waiter just nodded to the bar, I assume, suggesting that was where I had to go. The other waiter was pretty embarrassed and, I would say a little annoyed, as the surly chap hadn't put the bill against our table! For clarity, the good waiter was a bigger chap with glasses, the very poor waiter was smaller with a little goatee type beard. Guess I'll be finding somewhere else to stop when I'm next in the area. A shame as the food is good, parking is right next to the restaurant and it has been good the previous times I've stopped. I did wonder if it was because we were on motorbikes, but there were a few other bikers there who seemed to be OK (including getting food in the drinks only area). It can't be because we spoke to the waiter in English as we conversed with both waiters in French, certainly well enough to be understood. It shall remain a mystery, and a...
