la Cantinetta — Restaurant in Digne-les-Bains

If you’re looking for fresh pasta and delicious Italian food, La Cantinetta is a must-go!

Our family was traveling from out of the country and stopped at the Saturday marketing in Digne. We stumbled upon this restaurant in while looking for some pasta and were NOT disappointed! La Cantinetta has some of the best pasta we have ever had.

They start you off with some delicious onion focaccia and crostini with a tomato-based spread.

We got the charcuterie antipasti, which had selections of wonderful cured meats and bread.

Every day they have a selection of fresh pastas to choose from with your choice of sauce. I got the lamb and thyme ravioli with pesto which was sublime, but I also recommend trying the special lamb sauce if you can get your hands on that ravioli!

The rest of my family got other raviolis, gnocchi, and the pasta of the day, which was a humongous beef lasagna.

We ended the evening with tiramisu to go and had to ask for plenty of to go boxes because the portions were so generous!

On top of the delicious, fresh food, the staff and chefs were so kind and polite. Us having only the basic French vocabulary, we were pleasantly surprised when the Chef came out to ask us our order and explain the menu to us in English. This was not necessary, but it went a long way to help us out!

De passage sur Digne les Bains nous sommes allés en famille manger à la Cantinetta. Vraiment pas déçu de ce repas. Un restaurant tourné vers les pâtes (faites dans les cuisines de la Cantinetta) fraîches.

Pour avoir déjà mangé dans des restaurants axés sur ce thème, ici tout est vraiment parfait !!! Cadre original avec une partie boutique pour acheter des produits tournés vers la restauration italienne, accueil, service, cuisine. Merci à toute l’équipe qui œuvre à la Cantinetta. alors que nous nous baladions dans la rue piétonne de digne , on tombé sur ce petit restaurant italien, pâtes fraîches à emporter et dégustation sur place. après une semaine de régime montagnard fromage et charcuterie on a pas hésité longtemps. heureusement c’était top. le patron vous explique ces recettes du jour et voilà. je vous conseille sa sauce aux noix. tarif plus que correct pour des pâtes fraîches. on est reparti avec des raviolis...
