1. service was right. We were greeted in a friendly manner, served quickly and with the appropriate attention. 2. food and drink are very good. We didn't just eat here once, we went several times and every dish was excellent. 3. price and quality are right. The location directly on the sandy beach, the view, the atmosphere and the quality and price of the food - simply top. 4. and finally, as you can see from the pictures, it couldn't be better :-) We will be back often. And recommend it to you.

Nous avons diné à l'Auberge de la Rade jeudi 12 aout: foie gras, pièce du boucher et tartare pour finir par deux coupes glacées en dessert. Nous avons constaté un service acceptable, le garçon de salle mais surtout le personnel saisonnier se sont montrés disponibles. Un peu d'attente entre les plats mais la table bien était bien dressée et l'apéro rafraichissant... Au menu pour nous : foie gras, pièce du boucher et tartare ainsi que deux coupes glacées. Le foie gras était pas transcendant. La viande, elle, nous a donné entière satisfaction, nous nous sommes régalé, bravo au chef ! Les frites maisons nous ont aussi beaucoup plu ! Les coupes de glaces étaient par contre basiques, vous trouverez meilleur dessert ailleurs (aucuns n'est fait maison). Le gros point plus : le cadre. Nous avons mangé en première ligne face à la mer c’était magnifique et relaxant. Le petit point négatif : en bon Auvergnat on dira le prix (110e les deux repas sans vins mais avec apéritif ). Cependant le rapport qualité/prix est positif compte tenu du cadre idyllique et de la qualité des aliments.

The food was very basic. Be prepared to pay for the view. Over priced and food very disappointing. Cheep and cheerful, but not cheap. The Darade tastes like old cooking oil. No flavour of the fish. The lamb was tough as old boots. Very poor piece of meat…Did expect a lot better….

Great location! View amazing. But.. busy and slowmotion service. We were there with kids and it was a challange. Took 1h and 14 min to order food. Arrived at restaurant at 19:00 got to order 20:14. Some of us never got to order drinks. Apperently only one guy could take the order and as the place were busy it took for ever. And guest were all trying to get his attention. Almost like a farse. Other places nearby have 3-5 waiters they have one and a couple of runners. So once we order the food arrived pretty quickly.

A few missunderstanding around the tables, continued the farse.

Food overpriced, fries for the kids were not cooked properly. Main were not as you could expect but not bad.

Dessert took forever, some of us left before we even got it.

Can not recomend this place and stay away if you have kids. That not up to a 3 hour seeting.

Had a nice lunch here. The food was nice and a service was quick and polite. I did get the impression that we were quite lucky though. There were a lot of people around us with problems. The table next to us ordered a dessert that it seemed they eventually gave up on as it just never arrived. There were a few other complaints here and there and two members of staff were having an argument amongst all the tables. The food was nice, just nice though really, nothing too special. As I say, the service we received was fine, which shows they can get it right, even if it was only with us! It was perhaps just an off day. I would still...

Staff is incredibly impolite. We got there at 18:30 and ordered dinner, I specified we had to leave early for business reasons so I asked the dinner to be served as soon as possible. At 19:00 another waiter asked again what we wanted for dinner, signalling that they did not even started to prepare it. I complained and I was rudely told that it was not their fault because the kitchen doesn't open before 19:00 (why they didn't tell me immediately then?).
