Phenomenal all-around dining experience. Staff was friendly and kind the moment you walk through the door. The space, particularly outdoor patio, was quietly tucked away from the street and surrounded by beautiful plant life. Wine selection was well curated and featured traditional Provençal options as well as broader French regions, and all were excellent pairings for their incredibly delicious food. Our group of 8 enjoyed every dish that graced our table- but make sure to leave room for dessert! Our server William was engaging and attentive, and we deeply appreciated his service for our final dining experience in Agay. I would go back to la Villa Matuzia before any other spot in the area. My most disappointing meal this trip in France. The langoustine was overspiced and indistinguishable from any other fish. The surf and turf was disappointing, too - the lamb was too rare, the scallops soggy, as were the vegetables. When I asked if it would be possible to get a side of potatoes or fries, the answer was no. I decided to return to the restaurant I was in the previous night, and order a more satisfying meal there to celebrate my last...

The service was excellent, very helpful staff who explained the menu as our French isn't great. Nice intimate setting and the food was exquisite. Carpacchio de Boeuf was melt in the mouth stuff followed by bouille baisse . Other meals were fish and one of roasted ham( not doing it justice - it was glorious) We went last year and that's why we went back this year. Anyone that wants a great restaurant to try...
