On our way back to our rental home in St Maxime after a full day on the beach we called and were lucky to get last minute reservations at the restaurant Prao Plage. The restaurant was so light and airy, nicely done in the French Riviera decor, with lots of space and lovely ambiance. We were even more excited to see the singer SaElle was performing as we had seen her the previous night at a different restaurant and we knew we were in for a treat. I ordered the steak, my husband ordered the veal, we both enjoyed our meals very much and our son cleared his plate which is a huge compliment from our picky eater. Our waiter was pretty busy all night, but he would take care of us when we would catch his eye. Another guy, not sure if he was a manager would stop by frequently and made sure we were looked after. Would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant and return.

So much fun we're coming back tomorrow. Charly took great care of us. Food was exceptional, DJ was even better. Everything you want from St Tropez but a way more reasonable price. Beach and water are pristine over on this side of the peninsula. I love the Prao, we used to come here like 20 years ago and heard that it's under new management so almost didn't come, but the new management is better than it ever used to be! This is my #1 recommendation for things to do near Ste. Maxime.

I came very often to this place in the past but this time it wasn’t pleasant This salade was 8 euros ! … I don’t mind paying but at least make an effort in the presentation ! The rest of our dishes were ok On top of that the music is so loud you can’t enjoy your food. If you want to be a beach club that’s great but either let people know they won’t be able to speak while eating or wait until the second service before blasting the music

We have been going to Le Prao for the past 20 years and it is one of our favorite restaurants in Sainte Maxime. Until yesterday.. We made a reservation to have dinner for two. Upon arrival and during the meal we noticed that COVID protocols are completely disregarded. The waiters & hostess have masks on, but masks seem to be a decorative item; they are loosely attached not covering nose or mouth. On top of this, on this particular night there was a photographer running around the restaurant (not unusual pre-COVID), with no mask whatsoever and completely disregarding social distancing rules. The whole situation made us feel so uncomfortable that we left. Food was good as usual. What a pity- attitude seemed disrespectful towards those guests (like us) that come to support local restaurants and expect...
