I had high expectations for this place given the very good reviews. We ordered takeout, service was good with the owner making some jokes, and it was ready for pick up in 15 mins. We had ordered 1 chicken korma, 1 prawn curry, 1 palak paneer, 3 naans, and 1 fried vegetables. No lunch menu because it was a holiday, so we paid full price which came to about 43 euros with a 10% discount for takeout. I appreciated the three papadoms which were thrown into the bag for free. They were good. However, several factors I disliked : the paneer was not paneer. I have eaten a lot of paneer in the past, some homemade from Indian friends, some store bought. This one was close to neither, and tasted like cream cheese or the french vache qui rit. It was truly disappointing. If you're not going to use paneer, at least use tofu which is closer to it than the texture and taste cream cheese. the portion sizes were really disappointing : in each curry, we found maybe 3 or 4 maximum small pieces of chicken/prawn/"paneer". A joke for a 14 euros curry. the naan was clearly not made fresh, it had been reheated or frozen before. I look forward to going to Indian restaurants for their naan which are incomparable to store-bought naans, but this time a store bought naan would have probably been just as good. I really dislike leaving negative reviews, and would have preferred giving this feedback in real life, but did not have the occasion, sadly. I hope that they can improve thanks to these comments & I still wish them the best, and appreciate the jokes at the smiles...
Read moreMy recent dining experience at this restaurant was a total letdown. The food was not only expensive but also served in tiny portions – the samosas might as well have been called "mini samosas."
The owner's behavior was outright horrible. He showed warm behavior towords non- indians and was partial towards indians, giving late service, being rude etc. We tried being friendly by speaking in Hindi, but he took offense at a minor grammar mistake. His response, "This is not your India, this is France," was incredibly offensive and uncalled for. To top it off, he threw our take-away box at the table and continued yelling at us even after we apologized for no reason.
Overall, this restaurant provided a terrible experience, and I would strongly advise anyone to avoid it especially indians who are...
Read moreRevisited the restaurent after one year with my Indian friends and the owner and the receptionist (who is again an Indian ) are very rude and make scarstically non-sense jokes. As noticed, the owner has very different way of dealing with Indian and Non-indian customers. With Indians, he is impatient, rude and extremly argumentative while with non-indians , he does warm welcome, funny and attender. It is felt that Indians are not warm welcomed.
Considering food, It is medicore , nothing " authentic ".In dish like palak Paneer, cottage cheese is used.
To the Non-Indians: Don't be an...
