La Tavola Italiana — Restaurant in Fort-de-France

we stumble across this restaurant by accident. it was the only place open on a monday nite and boy were we glad! lovely interior, with somewhat limited seating, but there is beautiful outdoor seating as well. truly italian food (i've been to Italy), served with a lovely french elegance. the night we were there, many regulars came in that were treated like royalty. food was delightful & we had a lovely evening there. google has the location of this restaurant wrong on their map function. go by the address. the restaurant sits right off...

Great pasta here and their bolognese is so great both kids always emptied the plate (which is rare). They could have a bit more juice options and probably good idea would be to add bolognese or napolitana to the menu, because we had to ask for it. Waiters try to speak English and are very friendly.

Prices are on par with rest in the area and food presentation is top notch, all compliments to the chef. We came back, although on vacation we rarely eat in same...

Assez déçue de ce restaurant malgré tous les bons avis que j’avais pu lire avant d’y aller. Nous avons été accueillis par un serveur qui semblait être perdu, il tournait en rond devant les tables sans but précis et repassait plusieurs fois prendre des commandes qu’il oubliait de noter. Nous avons attendu les plats pendant 45 min, et lorsque nous l’avons fait remonter, il s’est avéré que la serveuse n’avait pas entré notre commande en machine, de ce fait elle n’est jamais arrivée en cuisine. C’est un oubli, cela arrive, d’autant plus qu’elle a eu un geste commercial en ne nous faisant pas payer les boissons. Cependant, il est vrai que cela a un peu plombé notre expérience, d’autant plus que nous avons trouvé les plats sans goût… et finalement, le serveur endormi s’est réveillé puisqu’il était même devenu TROP intrusif avec ses blagues, comment dire…...
