La Cave — Restaurant in Grasse

After so many incertain years, I was delighted to find that La Cave had not changed: the same warm welcome by the owner and chef Sylvie, the same delicious home made cooking, all prepared on the spot with fresh ingredients, no frozen meals here! Ich wollte nur noch weg. Die Hausdame ist sehr freundlich und wahnsinnig von ihren Köchkünsten überzeugt. Aber schon bei der Vorspeisenplatte, die komplett lieblos (vermute vorgekocht) war, bahnte sich schon ein komisches Gefühl an, dass die investieren knapp 100euro für die Tonne sein würden. Und so war es auch. Das zu gekaufte fertige auf der Platte schmeckte noch eben so. Der Rest nicht. Die Hauptspeisen: Gorgonzolanudeln - kaum Geschmack nach Gorgonzola. Darüber Reibekäse vom Emmentaler. Nudeln zu Matsch gekocht...

Risotto mit Tomaten und Fischklumpen - Komplett verkochte Pampe. Null Biss. Geschmacklich halbwegs ok, aber ungewürzt.

Nachtisch: eine Art Creme brulee - meine Frau hat aus Verzweiflung nur noch gelacht... Kaum genießbar.

Aprikosenkuchen - sah aus wie ein Stück pizza mit Aprikosen drauf. Boden total trocken, so ne Art Mürbeteig mit Aprikosen gebacken. Auch kein Geschmack.

Ich hab keine Ahnung wo die guten Bewertungen herkommen, sorry.

Für 30euro in ner Kantine zu zweit zum satt werden ok, aber so on diesem Ambiente und den Ansprüchen ein no go. Tut mir leid
