La crique — Restaurant in Grasse

Not the first time we come here however it was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant, and we didn’t even get to eat.

I went to this place with my mother, hoping to enjoy a quiet meal. The restaurant was practically empty, so we expected prompt service. After about 5 minutes, a single staff member ,a short, fat bearded man who looked visibly irritated finally brought us the menus. It was clear he had no other customers to attend to, yet everything felt like a huge inconvenience for him.

My mother politely asked for a glass of water, and before she could even finish her sentence, he cut her off with an aggressive tone, saying, “You have to listen to me.” He then launched into a rant about how things were going to take a long time and we had to wait 10 minutes ,not in a helpful or apologetic way, but like we were bothering him just by being there.

It was completely disrespectful and unprofessional. We were stunned. My mother decided to stand up and leave and honestly, good decision. What shocked us most was that the man didn’t care at all. He just watched us go, no apology, no concern, nothing.

This was not just bad service , it was demeaning, unwelcoming, and downright rude. We didn’t even get water. I rarely leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share this. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Basic human decency should be the bare minimum in customer service and even that was...

This is how hospitality should not be. Although this place has all ingredients to be great, unfortunately the staff isn't very welcoming. First time we couldn't make a reservation for 10 people which of course can happen. Second time we came for drinks for 5 but they wouldn't offer us a table. Only a sofa for 3 person was available while the terrace was fully available for the dinner reservations that would start hours later. The only available table for us had 1 chair, I had to grab other chairs myself. The drinks itself where okay (Aperol Spritz, beer and drinks for the kids). I advise La Crique rethink its way of working on welcoming foreign guests and at least put some snacks on the menu. Hospitality isn't rocket science. You have to make the guests feel welcome and can still offer them what you can offer even when you don't have a table available. Nous habitons Cannes et sa région. Nous connaissons cet endroit par un ami restaurateur, et sommes venus plusieurs fois… jusque là rien à dire, à part les gobelets en carton, et l’endroit bien qu’ idyllique, peu entretenu…🙄 Ce soir, nous étions 7 et avions réservé par cet ami, car no injoignable !! Table de 7 , vue sur poubelles, à côté du four à pizza….en plein mois d’ Août, pas très cool!!🤦‍♀️ Nous dînons tous les soirs dehors, et cela ns amuse de venir là pour le côté Robinson…. Et ce soir, une véritable catastrophe…… plus d’1 heure pour 3 pizzas 🍕. Les moules en cocotte, la moitié encore fermées, donc immangeables, la jeune fille a reçu ses gnocchis ( loin d’être terribles…) qd presque toute la table avait fini son plat… Aperols tout petit petit…. Gobelets en carton pour boire l’eau minérale…. On a évité le dessert, de toute façon, il n’y avait plus ce que l’on souhaitait ! Après avoir demandé l’addition 5 FOIS, auprès de chaque membre de l’ équipe, et surtout voyant les autres nous passer devant, ns commençâmes à nous impatienter quelque peu….😱 Franchement, ce soir on ns a pris pour des quiches…!!!!! Mais n’ étant pas touristes, on n’apprécie pas follement de se faire traiter de la sorte! Quand on tient une gargotte, car c’est une gargotte, on essaie au moins d’être aimable, et qd la femme du patron, nous rétorque qu’ elle était sous pression et dans le jus……. C’est la pleine saison, il faut assurer Madame, et prendre du personnel, et si l’on n’est pas capable d’assurer, il faut changer de métier. Car même une gargotte, ça se gère, et là ce soir vous n’avez rien assuré du tout! Fini, nous n’ y remettrons plus jamais les pieds, et vous déconseillons fortement de vous taper 3/4 h de route depuis Cannes pour ÇA !!!!!! A ÉVITER INCONTESTABLEMENT !!!! NUL sur toute la...
