We arrived, stood for a while, then helped ourselves to a table. Sat for a while. Sat for longer, watching waiters ignoring us. Wondered if we should order at bar, so went and asked one of the ignoring waiting staff whether we ordered at bar or table. Was told to wait at table and was given menu. Waited for longer. Eventually a different member of staff came to our table and we gave our order. I think she heard me/ understood my bad French, but cannot be sure as she did not thank me or respond in any way, she simply left. We then sat, looking at the view (great views) and waiting. The waitress began cleaning tables. Original waiter then reappeared to take our order (I thought he may have gone home for dinner — perhaps he did and was just popping back for fun). We told him his colleague had taken our order. He then went to speak to his colleague. They shared a joke, cleaned some tables (really, lovely clean tables in this place, if you don’t die of thirst you can admire them while waiting). After waiting for about 5 years, we decided that it would be faster to go to a market, buy fruit, make our own drinks. So we left—watched by the staff, who were still chatting/laughing/wiping clean tables. A lovely spot to sit, but if you want a drink, especially a €4:80 cola, I suggest you...
Read moreI've been to this restaurant a few times, and while I don't have any major complaints, there's definitely room for improvement. The location is stunning—right on the beach with gorgeous sunsets, everything you’d want for a perfect summer evening. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. The staff aren’t necessarily rude, but they're far from attentive. You’ll often find yourself trying to catch a waiter’s attention because they rarely come to check on you.
The cocktails are another letdown. They taste more like syrup than actual cocktails- sickly sweet with little to no alcohol, which is disappointing when you're expecting a refreshing drink. And then there’s the seating. Every time I've visited, the sofa chairs have been dirty- sticky, wet, covered in sand, or just grimy.
The view is fantastic, which makes it worth visiting, but the poor service and unappealing seating definitely bring down the experience. This place could be so much better with just a bit more...
Read moreit was a Sunday afternoon, some friends were having a drink in juan les pins, and I was asked to join them. Upon arrival (around 8pm) we were told that they were closing because they didn't have enough customers, but were aloud to order since our friends had arrived a little before us (unlike a family which arrived shortly after us). The waiter who came and took our order was quite nice, but I was told by my friends that their waitress hadn't been at all friendly, and I admit not having seen her smile once. A virgin mojito (10€ can be expected as it's a beach in Juan les Pins, but is still quite expensive) was ordered but was quite flavorless, so very disappointing, and a Perrier was served just in a glass, no bottle to be seen, and tasted like the end of a bottle that had been open a while ago, in this kind of establishment, and with these prices I would expect a small bottle to be opened and served in front...
