Actually, almost everything would be ready for the best: Quietly situated at the end of a fine sandy beach, tables partly directly by the sea, all quite idyllic. Plus relatively good food and equally solid cocktails, wines etc. As there were several pasta dishes on the menu, we kindly asked if our 4-year-old daughter could have the pasta without any extras (like prawns, with truffles, sauces, etc.), i.e. simply plain, just the pasta, which was vehemently refused by the waiter (who was perhaps not to blame) on the grounds that “the kitchen and chef doesn't do that, without exception, it's not possible here”. The child was heartbroken and the evening was over. Such arrogance towards guests who have consumed for around 500 euros is already “astonishing”, but to have the heart to deny a small, sad child a minimum of flexibility (again: pure noodles!) really leaves you stunned. You can almost only feel sorry for such people in their small, stubborn world.
So, unfortunately, you remain a pretty snack bar on the beach instead of an upmarket restaurant with a high standard and at least...
Read moreNot allergy friendly!!! Eating at YOLO ruined the end of a beautiful trip to Antibes with a mom and two daughters. They have incorrect allergy information on their food menu - my mum ate nearly the only gluten free option on the menu and turns out it had gluten in it according to the manager. My mum spent hours getting sick in the toilet as she is coeliac (something that is not taken seriously enough here at all) holding up lots of their customers as there is only two toilets and we nearly missed our flight back. Avoid this place if you want to eat safely. The only thing they offered us was 20% off the bill, really not good enough for the stress and illness they cause us and my poor mum. We are safely all week in Antibes to avoid this happening so I am really disappointed that they have printed menus with the incorrect allergy information...
Read moreHad a wonderful lunch here today, one of the best meals we’ve had since we’ve been in France. We both had the grilled seabass with vegetables and Asian rice with a honey dressing. It was incredible. The courgette was a variety you rarely e counter in the UK. The flesh is much more like that of avocado in texture and consistency. Really much, much nicer than standard courgette. We felt $28 (each) was almost a bargain! The sunbeds are extremely comfortable as well (we were on the pontoon), the sea is super clean, and the beach is sandy. The girls on the sunbeds next to us got through several rounds of cocktails, and they looked delicious. 🙂 The atmosphere was very relaxed and the service exceptional. We had a great day. Total including lunch and two sunbeds and assorted umbrellas was €165. Not cheap, but you get what...
