Restaurant Mick'elly Pizzeria — Restaurant in Grasse

Since it was close to my hotel, I went after a long trip without having eaten anything all day. The place had good reviews, so I thought it would be nicer than the hotel food and treated myself. To my surprise, the lasagne was honestly the worst I’ve ever had. It came with a salad, but the salad had no flavour, so I added salt and cheese just to get through it. The lasagne itself was cold in the middle, so they reheated it, but even then it was so bad I only managed to eat a third before feeling sick and leaving. The pasta was overcooked to the point of being mushy, like baby food. The meat sauce was dry, there was no sign of cream sauce, and the whole thing was just tasteless and unpleasant. I tried adding salt and Tabasco to make it edible, but eventually it just made me feel nauseous, so I left it.

I usually don’t complain, but it was so bad that I mentioned it when paying. They kindly offered me a glass of rosé on the house, which I appreciated, and at least that €6 rosé was genuinely nice. Réservation faite à la dernière minute, un vendredi soir, après être partis d'un autre resto trop bruyant. Quand on m'a fait part du changement, j'avoue avoir un peu eu peur, car j'étais allée manger dans ce resto, il y a longtemps et je n'avais pas du tout aimé: ni les plats ni l'ambiance. Et là, je fus enchantée car tout a était parfait, du début à la fin, des plats au sourire et à la bienveillance du serveur qui a été patient car nous sommes partis les derniers du resto. Et pour les plats, les pizzas avaient l'air vraiment très bonnes, les salades bien garnies et j'ai osé prendre un tartare, ce qui n'est pas toujours une très bonne idée dans certains restaurants, et je dois dire que le serveur a été très honnête avec moi, en me disant qu'il était très bien préparé, très frais, mais que peut-être il manquait un peu de précision dans la préparation au niveau goût. Je lui ai fait confiance et je l'ai pris et je n'ai vraiment pas été déçue car il était parfait pour moi, pas très chargé mais généreux, très frais et avec tout l'accompagement nécessaire. Servi avec salade et frites. Un vrai régal et je n'ai pas du tout été malade par la suite. Pour moi, le tartare est la preuve pour savoir si c'est un bon resto ou pas.
