It’s genuinely astonishing how you find the time to reply to every bad review—maybe if that energy was redirected into your food or service, people wouldn’t be leaving those reviews in the first place. The way you argue with unhappy customers instead of learning from them shows a complete lack of professionalism and basic respect.
Your restaurant is a parody of hospitality. I’ve been to India, where warmth and generosity are part of the culture. Whatever you’re trying to serve here, whether it’s food or attitude, is a disgraceful imitation. You’re not defending a restaurant; you’re babysitting a failing ego.
If this is your idea of running a business, maybe consider a different career, one that doesn’t involve people, food, or any form of customer service.
To the manager who confuses ego with authority:
A whole year later and you’re still writing angry novels over a single review? Touching. I guess when your entire personality is tied to your restaurant’s Google rating, any criticism hits like a midlife crisis.
Let’s get the facts straight — since you’ve clearly rewritten history to soothe your pride: There was no complaint. No issue with the food (though let’s be honest — nothing to brag about there either). The problem started because we were “moving too much” in your 10-square-meter dollhouse and you couldn’t handle it. God forbid customers actually… walk… in a restaurant. Your response? A meltdown so dramatic it should’ve had background music — and then you called the police like we’d committed a federal offense by standing up.
And since you conveniently left this out of your little story: we said we wouldn’t pay because of the way you treated us — aggressively, disrespectfully, and with zero professionalism. You don’t get to treat paying customers like intruders and then act surprised when they decide they’re not funding your attitude problem. No one walks into a restaurant expecting to be scolded for existing.
Now about that “traditional restaurant” of yours: You think a cramped, 4-table shoebox wedged between two real businesses is a proper restaurant? Let’s be real — it’s a heated hallway with forks. A closet with a checkout counter. You’ve got less square footage than my bathroom and you’re talking like you’re running the Ritz.
And since you asked — no, I’m not writing reviews because I’m bored or have no life. I’m doing it because it bothers you, and clearly, it’s working. I’m doing it so people can see what happens when they walk into your restaurant: a fragile man with a superiority complex trying to police movement and dignity in a room the size of a supply closet.
You say I haven’t moved on? You’re the one stalking my review, replying a year later like you’re on some personal revenge arc. Meanwhile, I’ve been too busy enjoying life — and restaurants that don’t involve security threats over standing up.
If I wanted to, I could buy your entire operation with what’s in my pocket, flip the space, and turn it into a self-serve laundromat. But I wouldn’t — not because I couldn’t — but because even bad investments deserve dignity.
Enjoy your fame while it lasts. One of us is clearly thriving — the other is writing essays in a rage from behind a counter.
Sincerely, Someone who actually has a life — and the freedom to move wherever the...
Read moreThis is the second time i am visiting the place. The first time i thought the manager who is Indian (i guess) does not like customers who are Indian. When we commented that the food was not spicy, he was dismissive saying that its for the french not Indians. We were a little taken aback at the rude response but didnt think much of it. But the second time I am convinced he looks down at Indian customers. I was with my french and lebanese friends and all the time he was speaking to them and not at all to me. They kept coming every 2 mins to ask what we want to order even when we told him that we are waiting for a friend. In addition they have always very wierd rules when placing orders. In such case please put the rules on display so people knw before they settle down to eat at the place and come to know abt it later. Really bothered me that while all the other indian places the server as well as owners are so polite and respectful of the customers, this so called Indian restaurant is not at all keeping the core value representing Indian hospitality. I will advice all Indian people never to go there as you will know that they will treat us differently from the french people. Do not waste ur money here.
Added: the audacity of urs to bring my upbringing into question!! Do you hear urself, this really shows ur upbringing into question.... and do you expect an au revoir after you told us to pay and leave!!! Are you crazy!! I did not see anywhere that you get a negative review and you took the critisicm and improving if a customer felt like it was not par. You are in a service based industry MR....not all establishment are perfect and you could have been positive toward the critisism but ur the child here...you can type such looooong long replies to the customer who have highlighted the rudeness of ur behaviour and its always you not anyone else. But instead of changing ur so called attitude you are arguing with the customers. And i should ask why did you named ur restaurant Chai latte on a beverage !!! And why the policy is changed....it was not so before?? If you go through your old reviews dated 2 years back there are reviews where people ordered only beverage and now the policy is changed then put it...
Read moreThe food was delicious. The restaurant has a really strong food smell which makes it less enjoyable as you can smell the oil. we ordered two garlic naans, one tandoori chicken (they say its entree but it is big and 10 euros), chicken tikka masala and samosas.
we wanted to try everything so we decided to share as we werent really that hungry. the waiter was really pushy asking us if we are going to order something else. later, as
we were trying to enjoy our meal she came several times and asked if she could take our plates (we were eating and there was still a lot food on the table). and then she came and she said there was a reservation on our table.
what sealed the deal as our “never come back spot” was the chastising from the manager who told us that “normally we don’t allow sharing, you have to get a main course each. this is a traditional restaurant.” we ended up paying the same amount (13.5 euros each) if we all just had a main course.
very inhospitable, unbearable oil smell from the kitchen, good food but is it worth getting scolded by the manager amd getting interrupted every two minutes by...
