Amazing Indian Cuisine in the Heart of Martigues! I recently dined at Taj Mahal and was blown away by the authentic flavors and warm ambiance. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a welcoming smile and the aroma of spices that immediately transported me to India.
The menu had a great variety of classic Indian dishes, from creamy butter chicken to spicy lamb vindaloo. I opted for the chicken tikka masala, paired with garlic naan and saffron rice. Every bite was packed with flavor, perfectly balanced, and fresh. The spices were just right—not overly hot, but with a delightful kick.
The service was exceptional. The staff took time to explain the dishes and even customized the spice levels based on my preference. The decor was elegant yet cozy, with subtle Indian touches like intricate lanterns and soothing traditional music playing in the background.
For dessert, I tried their gulab jamun and mango lassi. Both were the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal.

Read moreWe visited Taj Mahal in Martigues a couple of months ago and had such a great experience. The curry was absolutely delicious — I had the paneer tikka masala and it was full of flavour, one of the best I’ve had! The service was excellent too. The owner was really friendly and knowledgeable, and we felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived.
There was also a great range of options for my gluten-free friend who has allergies, which made things so much easier and more enjoyable. We loved it so much, we went back multiple times during our stay.
Next time we're in Martigues, we’ll definitely be returning....

I had the chicken tikka masala with buttered naan bread, while the man had the lamb in a mango sauce. We started with pappadums which came with two sauces and mango chutney. We’ll be stopping by again the next time we plan a trip to the beach! Namaskar...
