D74 — Restaurant in Langres

Would definitely NOT recommend. Pizzas and burgers are okay, but everything else was below standards. The 360gr entrecôte ordered bien cuit was bleu and a lot smaller and the pasta was reheated in the microwave, which made the pasta that was not covered in sauce chewy and even crunchy. Plus the waiter was very unfriendly and took his time chatting to regular customers while leaving us waiting for 45 minutes for the kid’s ice creams and not clearing our plates. We ended up having to ask the ice creams to go as it was almost 21h and we had small children who really needed to sleep. We ordered our one-course meals and kids menus with ice cream at 19.10h, the earliest possible. We arrived at 18h but were told the cook was still eating so we had to wait till 19h. Left the motorway for a lunchtime break. Well worth it as the owner has created a piece of Americana - with music to match - without having set foot in the USA. Burgers and Pizza were available as well as beer on tap. Was happy with the burgers but found the chips / fries slightly under-cooked. Due to cost of staff in France the hours are strict (12-2pm for lunch). Bikers congregate and create atmosphere in an otherwise sleepy town. Interesting historical motorbikes at the back...

Nous sommes passés par Langres lors de notre retour de vacances (étape) et avons mangé au D74 grâce aux bons avis Google. Nous avons été très bien accueillis (couple avec 2 enfants de 11 et 4 ans). Le patron est très sympathique, souriant et conviviale. J'avais commandé une demi pizza (ce qui est rare de pouvoir faire et qui pour moi est un +) et ils ont fait l'erreur de m'en faire une entière. J'ai fini par en manger les 3/4 qu'ils m'ont facturé à demi. C'était très honnête de leur part. Et en partant, le patron nous a montré l'intérieur de son juke box.
