This place is a lifesaver! Martinique at large is not a gastronomical experience at all, it mostly centres around rather bland creole flavours and repeating local classics that should have long been lost from memory.

Meanwhile, this restaurant is a bastion of true French gastronomical passion. While respecting the local produce, you can feel that the service and the chef is dedicated to the craft. We had many dishes from the menu; from the more locally common preparations of dorade and tuna tataki, to the gravlax of confit de canard (for the starters) and the utterly delicate lamb shank served for our last visit. We were never disappointed with any dish, particularly when acknowledging the challenges endured to get such impressive ingredients so far from the French mainland.

Wow! This was an experience I didn’t plan for. I mean, yeh the reputation stand for itself and is reflected in the rating, but…wow. Magret de canard salad was an explosion of wonderful flavours that bombard the senses in such a way, floral, sweet, the salt came through just perfectly! Cheers for the culinarily vision putting this together. Then there was the Pluma de Pork, cooked to perfection (sous vide for hours) then pan fried to a melt in your mouth perfect bite. Reduction had a beautiful sweetness and a lovely salty finish that pleases the palate, super impressive! This place has certainly earned all the 5 star reviews! Everything was absolutely fantastic! The sea bream tartare was very fresh and full of flavor. Honestly, it’s the best tartare I’ve ever had! I also had the seafood platter that was also just as fresh. My partner had the lamb and really enjoyed it. I don’t like lamb and even I liked it!

The woman running the place was very pleasant even though we don’t speak French. She tried very hard to have us understand. Excellent and very friendly service. I would hive this place 10...
