La Pause Restaurant-bar — Restaurant in Le Marin

In the heart of the Village Creole, it's hard not to take a look at this eatery with its formidable roof. The seating area houses 2 restaraunts with la pause on one side. Friendly service mixed with average food. I had the mixed grilled seafood platter: the fish was dry and octopus rubbery. Overall lacked seasoning and the side salad was mushy and bland. My partner had the burger which she enjoyed. Desert was a chocolate fondant which seems to be freshly made (had to wait about 10 mins) but it was tasty and gooey in the middle. It could benefit with a fruit coulis but I'm being picky. All in all, 2 main meals, one desert, a small bottle of beer, a cocktail and a bottle of water came to ~58€. With loud dance music in the background, this may not appeal...

The beginning was nice and friendly, the waiter took the food order. Our starters came and went all fine however it soon changed and went all wrong. He forgot about our main course. Then he figured he was wrong and from there on another waiter served us. The fish I ordered was rawin the first time was forgotten is now servedbut raw. They had to take it back and cook me a new plate. My partner was already finished when I got my food. Overall not the best...

Le nom « la pause » donnait déjà envie Après la lecture de la carte vous ne pouvait qu’être curieux d’y aller. Une fois que vous êtes à table vous y serez comblé Il n’y a pas beaucoup de plats au menu ce qui est souvent un gage de maîtrise et de justesse des plats proposés Au final quand arrivent vos assiettes vos souhaits se réalisent Chaque plat est juste, chaque plat proposé est un délice pour le palais Que vous veniez seul ou en famille vous trouverez votre bonheur la carte est formidable, les cuisson sont parfaites, les viandes sont justes et les assaisonnement sont parfaitement adaptés Vous y ajouter en plus un personnel à votre écoute, qui répond à vos attentes et vous avez en effet une très belle pause gastronomique C’est notre quatrième séjour à la Martinique à chaque fois que nous sommes venus nous avons été séduit et comblé Le seul petit bémol que je mettrai à cet avis est que la pause était propriétaire d’un merveilleux restaurant d’hamburger ou tout était fait maison du pain jusqu’au sauce.
