We arrived a tad earlier than our reservation but was seated quickly however this shorter guy whom we assumed is floor manager (the only one wearing a greyish-blueish shirt) checked on our reservation and he was very unfriendly, inpatient and rude towards us. We ended up still leaving a 5% tips because the rest of the crew (who wear white t shirt) was super friendly and helpful.
For drinks, their belinni was so-so for us but the negroni was great if you’re looking for a apéro to start your meal.
Their pizzas were good in general, I ordered the truffle pizza & the dough was great but the pizza itself lack a bit of texture and it was already not warm when served to us so that did affect the taste as well.
Bruschetta was great and surprisingly the best food we’ve tried there during our visit is the complementary pizza dough bread served in a basket.
Overall I’d say it’s worth checking it out for good pizza if you have a craving for a little trip to Italy on your tastebud.
Lastly, just wanna highlight that, the ambiance is great and the free parking is a nice touch! Looking forward to the new items...
Read moreWhile I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews, my recent visit to this restaurant compels me to share my disappointment. Despite arriving promptly for our 13:15h reservation for three in the main dining room, we were directed to wait in the indoor garden until our table was ready. Regrettably, we were never relocated. By the time our order was taken at 13:30h by the unpleasant waiter, we had already waited longer than anticipated. The subsequent 40-minute delay until our pizzas arrived was less than satisfactory. While the taste of the food was passable, it certainly didn't justify the extended wait or the price. Additionally, my pizza was overcooked and contained an unwelcome surprise – a piece of hair. Furthermore, my friend's pizza, advertised to include portobello mushrooms and ham, lacked any discernible mushrooms and was sparingly topped with ham. Given the abundance of excellent dining options in Lille, I advise seeking alternatives rather than patronizing this...
Read moreWe dined at Squadra Club last night as a party of five, including two children and it was outstanding in every respect. The pizza was incredible, the truffle pasta was exceptional and the service could not have been better. We were warmly welcomed, wonderfully looked after and even spoiled with complimentary treats for both us and the children.
The décor and atmosphere are beautifully done, creating a space that feels both stylish and inviting. From the staff to the venue to the food, everything was genuinely perfect. The children enjoyed the running track outside too.
While it is not located in the old town, I would happily choose this restaurant every time (of course, the old town is also well worth a visit!)
Squadra Club is just a short distance from Lille Europe Station, making it ideal for us as we were staying nearby ahead of a train journey south. We’ve already decided it will be our annual dinner stop every summer on...
