Les Platanes — Restaurant in Limoux

Excellent quality good sized pizza freshly cooked from start to finish. The meat and pasta menus are small in choice, but good quality food - the cut of meat called bavet is particularly good. The staff speak some English if you need help. Great local wine (red - Fitou and Corbiers) and the house wine is most acceptable. Delicious range of ice creams and (usually) at least 2 deserts made in house. This time I had the lemon meringue pie which was excellent. Freshly decorated and menue updatted - check the 'daily specials' or in summer the b-b-q offerings! Well behaved...

Great evening with two friends. Restaurant packed, so make a reservation at weekends. Staff are excellent, friendly, attentive, and speak excellent English if you don't speak French....majority of Diners were English. Food good, great starter of the day or carapaccio of veal with Thai spices and a fig dipping sauce...excellent. Lots of pizzas, salads and beef and duck. Recommend as great...

Very good value and lovely service.

We chose the Savoiarde  and smoked  ham pizzas and both were excellent - both pizzas were lovely, really fresh ingredients and the dough was thin and crispy. Service was excellent and friendly.

Restaurant is very busy so make sure you make a reservation.  We felt like we were in Italy!

We totally recommend this place.   Very relaxed...
