Brasserie Le Strasbourg — Restaurant in Lons-le-Saunier

This was the most disappointing meal in 6 weeks in France. The hostess and the room were both lovely, but the food was very bad, and the service was horrible.

The Saumon Tartare entrée tasted ‘fishy’, like it was pre-made and left out. The Poulet de Bourgogne aux Morilles et Vin Jaune was overcooked and dry, with chewy but watery mushrooms (dried and reconstituted). The Filet de Truite Meunière was overcooked, under-seasoned, under-sauced, and poorly filleted. The vegetables were mushy. The rice was ... okay, I guess?

The service was horrible. One of our mains was wrong (fish with morelle, instead of meuniere). We were routinely ignored. I waited for several minutes before fetching my own cutlery for the replacement fish. We had to ask for water 3times, twice for a second beer. The wine we ordered for the main course came with the cocktails. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks, or dessert, or coffee. Our finished plates were not even cleared before we left. One waiter spent several minutes between us and the next table with her ass 6 inches from my face.

I would highly recommend going anywhere that is not Brasserie le Strasbourg. I wish we had gone for a kebab instead. With how little of the meal I was able to enjoy, I...

This restaurant is a fantastic find, located right in the heart of the city. We went on a friend's recommendation, and I'm so glad we did. The food is absolutely excellent—no need to worry about being disappointed. They also have an impressive selection of food and wine to choose from.

What really stood out to me, though, was the customer service. Our order was mixed up, and while there was a brief moment of confusion with the server, her colleague, Mr. V, handled the situation perfectly. He quickly corrected our meals and apologized( he was not the one who took our order) , showing a great problem-solving attitude. I truly appreciated his intervention.

While there was a slight hiccup with the original server later on, which seemed like a simple misunderstanding, the overall experience was great. The service was fast and efficient, the food was delicious, and the focus on customer satisfaction was clear. I'm already looking forward to going back and highly recommend this place. Very overpriced for what you get, 26 euro for some chicken and fries, no vegetables or a salad whatsoever. Service was also not the best, our Aperol Spritz got taken away while it still was 1/4 full and we tried waving the waiter back, but he just ignored us. The beef we ordered was just cold and raw, while we ordered saignant. It looked like they stamped some scorch marks on there because it was a sad cold piece of beef. Definetly not worth the price! One waiter was taking our ordered and another waiter just come in between talking to our waiter, felt very rude and disrespectful, as he could have waited 1 minute and we were done ordering. We also weren't allowed to order our food at the start when they asked for our drinks and had to wait awkwardly until someone came again. The setting looked nice, but...
