I went on thrusday, May 18th, and I have to say that I was totally shocked by the huge energy of the artists. They are so talented... all of them (Cleo with his leadership and passion, Vincent, Marc, and the Perrier's). The ambiance of the place is awesome. They succeed in connecting with the audience, the variety of the music, the drinks, the dinner... all is great! I wish I could go every day. The only thing that I can say it was "tiny not ok" is that the person assigning the places was not so nice, but then again, I understood that there were people arriving with additional "not planned" persons, and it was a lot of people to make fit in the place without impacting the comfort of all the rest Courage :)

What a great jazz club! La Clef du Voute is a friendly, intimate space, perfectly suited to enjoyment of the terrific jazz featured there. The regular musicians are immensely talented and play with a joy that is infectious. The club also features and fosters young talent -- we were thrilled on a recent visit to see so many 20-somethings both on stage and filling the audience. What's truly amazing is that admission is free -- patrons can leave what they choose in the box at near the entrance -- and prices for pizzas (delicious!) and beverages are very reasonable. If you love jazz, you owe it to yourself to spend an evening here!

Excellent spot for honest to goodness jazz. Entry is free, and you pay what you like when you leave (cash at the entrance or card at the bar). Recommended €10-20 per person. Only beer wine and soft drinks so not a full bar. Pizza is available to order from the spot next door. Only 50 or so spots available to reserve a table, but walk INS are welcome for standing room at the back.

I came here tonight with my fiancé and best friend. Although not a fan of Jazz I had one of the best nights. The music was amazing, the musicians play each song with intent and passion. Really smooth sound and a funducational experience as the head musician explained each song before playing.

Now on the bar. Clean, neat and mostly affordable. There aren’t many options which is nice, it allows us to have quality product and service. I did not taste the pizza but they smelled extra good ( I caved at 10:29 and went to order one but the very nice bar maid informed me that they stopped food service at 10:30 pm. Why lord? Why tempt me and not allow me salvation!)

Overall it was great, i 100% recommend this place for a fun and chill night out with a friend or your partner, even if he/she/them doesn’t...

A real gem of the cultural scene in Lyon! La clef de voute is a super cozy, friendly jazz club with great atmosphere and really good music. There is a jam session after the concert EVERY NIGHT, and the club is ENTRY FREE, which makes it a great opportunity for young jazz musicians to play a couple of tunes with the band and get to know some of the pro musicians playing there. There is a nice pizza restaurant right at the next door, so you can order your pizza to be served directly into the jazz club. The bar is also very friendly and the prices are fine.
