I am pretty upset with this place. At the very beginning when we got there we were treated poorly by the “responsible” person. We order and everything was going nice. After getting the food, we were eating and when I touched the second slice of bread for my surprise a cockroach came from under it. We were so disgusted and we called the waitress, she took out my food and said she would bring another one. Of course, I didn’t want as everyone at the table lost apetite. We decided to leave and the responsible guy wanted us to pay for the rest of the food but not the tartine. He barely said he was sorry, it didn’t seem to care to be honest. We said we wouldn’t play as everything came from the same kitchen and my friends barely ate, especially after seen a cockroach walking around. So, we had a big discussion about sanity as he started to mumble in French with the waitress. She was the only one actually taking our side. He said the cockroach probably came from under the table, not the kitchen, but tbh, does it matter? They clearly have a sanity issue as they are walking around. At the end, we said, we could pay for the coffee since it was not coming from the kitchen. He was not happy as he thought apparently that it was our problem and not theirs.

Wow! What a place! Veeeeery friendly and welcoming staff even to English speakers. ( we don’t know French at all). Food is delicious! We lived on the corner- so First time we came here for brunch - avocado salmon toast and scrambled eggs were yummy and we were hungry so I didn’t take any pics. Also we got filtered coffee which Exceeded our expectations 😃 and we are quite picky on it. At home we brew Colombian beans, here we tried Ethiopian - and it was flavoursome. You can even drink it without sugar. Very balanced, smooth, fruity, not bitter at all. So because we have such a good experience we decided to go for dinner here. This time we got pastas: bolognese and carbonara. Both mouth-watering. Very good big portions though which is good 😊

At the end of a long, hot afternoon wandering around Lyon, I stumbled across the Nuage Cafe (Cloud Cafe) in thé small Place du Forez near my Airbnb. It was a wonderful discovery. I was only a little hungry but it was too early for dinner, so I ordered a salade Lyonnaise. What arrived a few minutes later was a plate laden with fresh frisée lettuce, explosively sweet cherry tomato’es, salty bacon bits and cheese, topped with a poached egg and dressed with a tangy vinaigrette. C’était délicieux! When I went inside to pay l’addition, I had to brace myself not to order desserts from the display cabinet stacked with mouth-watering treats. Nuage Cafe is definitely worth seeking out for a meal when you’re in Lyon.

This place definitely was an experience. I don’t like to leave bad reviews, as I have worked in the hospitality industry for years myself however I was genuinely shocked and disappointed. My friends were already eating when I arrived at the table, and had mentioned the service had been extremely slow and they were out of stock on items. I sat down and had a look through the menu and waited for about 10 minutes for a member of staff to take an order. I got up and spoke to who I assumed to be managing, and asked where I could order, to which he asked for my table and I sat down again, then told a member of staff to see me. It took about 15 minutes before a friendly staff member walked by clearing tables and had realised I’d still not ordered, and so she took my order from me. The drink and food arrived fairly quickly fortunately, and the crepe wasn’t too bad. When we tried to pay, the member of staff split the bill incorrectly and when we requested a refund so we could pay the correct amounts for what we had actually consumed, he gave us the bill and told us to work it out ourselves, with a very blunt goodbye. I will say at least the place was visually nice. It had a cosy feel. But overall, I wasn’t...

Very mediocre experience at Nuage. I could recommend so many other brunch places in Lyon that are better than here. ( Suzette, Milk & Pug )

First of all, there was hardly anything to choose from on the menu? It was either pancakes, avocado toast or eggs and bread… very average could’ve made it myself at home.

Second of all, the service was awful. It took 20 minutes for the server to come over and take our order, once our order had arrived our coffee was missing. I asked oh is the coffee coming too? To which I received a very rude reply. The coffee then didn’t arrive, had to ask another server. Still didn’t come. Asked a third time after 40 minutes and we had all finished our food. Coffee came, eventually. It was very watery and not nice. Food was tasty but average, nothing special.

Won’t be coming back here and would not recommend. Wasn’t a...
