The staff were very welcoming and patient. The atmosphere is warm and the place clean even if a bit small and we were sitting so close to each other. The food leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered karaage and gyozas as starters, then two ramens (shoyu et Tonkatsu). The karaage wasn't seasoned enough and not crispy at all. It tasted more like a "begnet" and the gyozas were ok but the soy sauce served with them wasn't soy sauce but rice vinegar! The ramen could have been better but nooo, the noodles used are not the ones traditionally used for ramen. the stock smelled of burned food especially the Tonkatsu one...I wouldn't go back there again nor recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Japanese food. I'm also shook that it has so many great reviews and this is what (mis)led us to that ramen shop in the...

Review only based on one ramen!
Very nice and cozy place with calm wooden vibes. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.
The tonkatsu ramen (original) was delicious! The broth was full of flavors leaning more towards the lighter side than heavier. The chashu was nicely roasted and melting in mouth! Rather thin (for those having preferences). The noodles also were of similar quality to the previously mentioned ingredients!
The only bummer was the gyozas 😬. They were good but nothing special. The gyoza sauce came in not so much quantity (that is rather subjective) and spicy oil was horrible missed here! Maybe it was just a matter of asking but it didn't come with the gyozas.
That is just a small part that leaves a lot of room for improvement!
I will definitely come back to try the other ramens!
Take home message: I highly recommend...
Read moreI had never been so well served in a restaurant in Lyon! I arrived late and without a reservation. the place was full, but I was told by the staff that in 40 minutes there would be a table available (I was alone). During this period I was seated next to the counter, had a beer and was able to observe how hard the entire team was working to serve everyone well. I ordered breaded shrimp as a starter and the “Sakana” ramen. it was splendid, notable umami and...
