Le Tipi — Restaurant in Mâcon

We came in for a quiet evening and, for the most part, the staff were lovely — friendly, attentive and helpful. Unfortunately, one member of staff completely undermined the experience and made it unnecessarily stressful from the outset.

We were initially seated outside but had to move indoors due to a significant number of wasps — one of our party has a severe allergy, so it was not a decision taken lightly. We quietly moved to an empty table inside, but instead of addressing the situation calmly, the waitress in question shouted across the restaurant, which was both inappropriate and deeply embarrassing.

Later in the evening, the weather turned — thunder, lightning, and heavy rain. People seated outdoors asked for the gazebo to be rolled out from the roof for shelter, but she flatly refused, leaving guests exposed to the elements. It would have taken minimal effort to extend it, and her unwillingness to do so showed a clear disregard for customer comfort and safety.

Throughout the evening, she continued to shout at her colleagues — often in front of children and directly in their ears. It was uncomfortable to watch and visibly upsetting for the team. She showed no consideration for the atmosphere or the wellbeing of those around her.

A real shame, as the rest of the staff were a credit to the place. We will not...

Dreadful! Eat anywhere else! A disgrace to French cuisine! The food is inedible. The worst meal I have had in France in 40 years of visiting. The ingredients cheap beyond compare. How can a a chicken escalope be so tough you can’t cut it. This is not the waiting staff’s fault. They run so fast for the number of people they serve and deserve a medal. Is it a management problem? Certainly. The problem is that there are many people who stay just one night at the campsite attached and need a meal. Then they go and others replace them. VOTE WITH YOUR FEET…...

Service und Essen unterirdisch!!

Das schlechteste an diesem Restaurant ist der Service, danach folgen sogleich die Fleischgerichte. Ich bestellte Spareribs (für 14€), erhielt aber stattdessen ein 4cm dickes Stück Fleisch, wovon gut die Hälfte aus purem Fett bestand, die zweite Hälfte waren drei (3!) Knochen. Die weiteren Gerichte waren Taccos und Cordon Bleu, wobei bei beiden auf sehr viel Fertigbestandteile zurückgegriffen wurde und für ebenfalls 14€ total überteuert waren. Daher kann ich von allen Fleischgerichten nur abraten. Nachdem die Hauptkellnerin freundlich darauf hingewiesen wurde, fuhr Sie mehrmals aus der Haut, nahm das Gericht mit und schrie sogar anschließend über das gesamte Restaurant "what do you want now, do you want to change?", und das vor mehreren besetzten Tischen mit Gästen. Das zeugt unserer Meinung nach von dem Bewusstsein aber nicht vorhandenem Eingeständnis der geschilderten Zustände. Am Ende des Tages waren die 14€ dennoch auf der Rechnung, was von uns nicht akzeptiert werden konnte und nach kurzer aggressiver Diskussionen vonseiten der Chefin korrigiert wurde.
