Bar de la Marine — Restaurant in Marseille

Came here to have lunch, as the restaurant looked quite nice and the scenery was lovely only to experience the worst level of service ever. Whilst I acknowledge there was a language barrier as we were Australian and they were French which was fine but we felt that the staff (aside from the girl with brown hair) only catered to those who were French, we almost felt as if we were being deliberately ignored because we were tourists. We had to wait 20 minutes for two glasses of Coca Cola and then half an hour just to the order food as the waiters kept walking past us and serving multiple tables to the point where people who arrived much later were receiving their food and eating. The wait for the food itself was also quite long and at times we had to ask the waiter when it was coming. The food was delicious, however the service was atrocious! The menu given to us was in French, even though you could clearly see we don’t speak French, and when I asked “could u please translate?, I was literary shoved a menu back in my hands with an expression “can’t u read” (which was still in French) followed by the sigh, and the waiter moving on to serve other people. Nevertheless I stayed (despite my inner voice telling me to leave), and I asked for the wine list, when the waiter got back to me by poking my shoulder with the wine list. Ma visite dans ce bar a été une expérience des plus frustrantes. Non seulement le personnel était désagréable et les cocktails sans goût, mais j'ai également dû attendre un temps incroyablement long pour les obtenir.

Dès mon arrivée, j'ai été confronté à un personnel peu accueillant et peu prévenant. Leur attitude désinvolte était évidente, et il semblait qu'ils ne se souciaient guère de la satisfaction des clients. J'ai essayé de passer ma commande rapidement, mais ils semblaient plus intéressés par leurs conversations personnelles que par le service à la clientèle.

Ce qui a rendu cette expérience encore plus décevante, c'est le temps d'attente interminable pour les cocktails. J'ai dû patienter beaucoup trop longtemps avant de recevoir mes boissons, ce qui a eu pour conséquence de gâcher l'ambiance de la soirée. Le bar n'était même pas particulièrement bondé, il n'y avait donc aucune excuse pour un tel retard.

Finalement, lorsque j'ai reçu les cocktails, j'ai été extrêmement déçu par leur qualité. Ils étaient fades, sans saveur distincte, et semblaient avoir été préparés sans aucune attention. Il était clair que la priorité n'était pas de fournir des boissons de qualité aux clients.

Dans l'ensemble, je ne recommande absolument pas ce bar. Le service désagréable, combiné à l'attente excessive et aux cocktails décevants, a fait de cette visite une expérience désastreuse.
