Very dissapointed as the restaurant was recommended by our bnb. I ordered rib eye steak well done and said no blood no pink well done. Steak came out medium pink/red. I could not cut the steak with a steak knife, meat was very tough and grissly. worst peice of meat I have had. It was returned. My sons kids meal steak was also medium pink. It was not a steak, it was a hamburger pattie. He retuned it. I requested a kids pattie instead of steak. New patties came out pink. Patties tasted like supermarket patties not restaurant made. The patties were pink not well done. I don't understand how a chef can't cook a pattie well done. Even mcdonalds patty is better and I don't eat mcdonalds. We could not eat our patties they were terrible. Salad came out with no dressing. I asked for vinegar and was told they don't have any! What restaurant does not have vinegar. I was given oil. I was charged for a rib eye steak not kids patty which is what I got. I brought it to their attention and then was charged for kids meat. After getting both meats wrong they should not have charged us at all. We also ordered Italian pizza which was not cut up and the worst tasting pizza. Terrible food won't go back and do not recommend.

Please don't let poor reviews from who knows where deter you from this lovely spot in the amazing Vallon des Auffes. The setting is simply charming and stunning at once. The staff is all quite welcoming - I ate alone, had no reservation, so they put me at a table inside. But this was fine, as the room was lively and fun. A few different people served me - one to explain the menu, one took a drink order, one my main dish, another told me to just pay directly at the cashier. My fish soup was about as perfect a version as I could hope for at a reasonable, not cheap price. I would return many times if I could. The panisse looked great, and were popular, and the pizza seems excellent. Lots of groups of friends, casual meals, drinks on the gorgeous terrace, etc. Yes, it is French. It is quick and slightly chaotic. All the better!

Fuyez.

The view is beautiful but our experience was really let down by the service.

We visited on a Saturday at 14.00. Yes, the restaurant was busy but after being shown to our table we had to wait for over 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order, while other tables who had arrived after us had already been served. We then didn't receive our wine (ordered at the start) until we had almost finished our meals (after asking the wait staff 3 times). Again, other tables were served during this time and our table was right in the middle so not sure what the issue was. One waiter was apologetic but the waitress who took our order at the start just seemed irritated when we asked her if we could please get the wine we had ordered.

The food was fine and the menu has more vegetarian options than many local restaurants which was a plus point. I ordered the gnocchi with burrata which was nice, although I have a feeling it was made with standard mozzarella rather than burrata as advertised.

We would have stayed for dessert but were fed up of waiting so decided to leave after our mains.

In fairness, they didn't quibble over not charging us for my partner's glass of wine which he didn't drink as it...

Bad food, bad service, overpriced, great view…

After 2 1/2 weeks in France, this might be the worst meal I had. My husband had muscles and fries - the muscles were “fine” and the fries were cold and soggy. I’m a vegetarian and had the gnocchi with burrata. The pasta was chewy and half was lukewarm and half was ice cold. It was awful.

I know the service in France is different than the US and I know what to expect! And my husband speaks French. This was next level though. We never saw anyone again after our food was dropped off. No water when the bottle was empty, nothing. A server opened our bottle of wine then walked away without pouring it…!? A table near us spilled a bottle of red wine and were frantically trying to clean it up with the paper napkins. I saw THREE servers walk by, look at them and then shrug and walk away. Seriously?!

The view is great, so I’d recommend a drink at another restaurant or bar or just walking around the port in the evening. We spent $75 for a terrible meal and I wouldn’t...
