Dima - Café restaurant oriental — Restaurant in Marseille

The food is ok and service is great as the order came really quick. But for tourist, be really aware, they had menu of the same content, one in English and one is French. The price in the English menu is higher by €1-3 although the item is exactly the same. They gave first the menu in French version, then they said there is an english version so I requested the one to make it easy. Upon looking at both, we immediately notice the price difference for the same item and pointed it out to the server the price difference. The server said, ignore it as the english version is old. The current french menu is the one posted in restaurant and in the flyers at the front desk. Upon payment, they are charging us based on the english version which we then complained and showed the french version. The cashier accepted the total cost we've calculated which €4 less than the original he is charging based in english menu.

It looks to me that they are charging more if you're a tourist who have a difficulty in communicating in French which is...

We ordered pea soup, grilled fish, salmon, and salad — and honestly, everything was fantastic.

The owners are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met in a restaurant. They make you feel like you’re a guest in their home, not just another customer. That level of care and warmth is really rare.

The staff was really friendly. The first minute l sat , they tried to help me with some recommendation what they have. I know little bit French , so l am not sure if they speak English or not . Although l couldn’t get almost half of what he was recommending XD while explaining, it was really nice of him.
