I stayed in Marseille for a night recently and the restaurant was near to the hotel (and also the train station.) I have to say that food options in this area of Marseille are pretty dire so it was a delight to find it. What a fabulous meal - and the staff could not have been more friendly, especially the waiter who was kind and attentive. I was on my own but didn't feel awkward at any time. When I left there was a bit of a mix up in the bill and I ended up paying 20 or so Euros more than I should have so, before leaving for the airport next morning, at about 7.30am I popped back on the off chance they could sort it out. The restaurant hadn't opened for the day but cleaning staff were there and a woman took my details. I left for the airport thinking I wouldn't see the money again, but oh well, it was a great meal. I was totally surprised to get an email from the restaurant a few days later apologising and asking for my international banking details which I supplied and the money was paid into it promptly. Full marks for honesty, great service and absolutely delicious food! Very impressive...
Read moreDO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE !! The waiter or maybe owner was extremely rude, worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. I went to the toilet when my family was waiting on the table, they placed an order but was ignored. I returned to the toilet and tried to order from the rude waiter, he talked in french which I assume was asking me to wait. It was taking too long and we figured it would be better to just walk and find another restaurant. When I told the other waiter that we would go, the rude waiter immediately was shouting and walked aggressively towards me, shouted in my face showing a receipt I dont know what he was talking about but he was shouting aggressively with mad expressions. Terrible restaurant and please never come to...
Read moreI had the special as advertised on the board sign on the street. It was supposed to be like Shepard’s pie which is a popular dish in Ireland. In this case as explained by the waiter the mince is replaced with fish. We can call it Fish pie. Unfortunately there was very little fish and mostly mash (75/25) along with a poorly prepared and presented piece of lettuce (warm ) drizzled with some basic salad cream. The time of my visit was around 4 pm . For a restaurant in a busy street across the road from the Central railway station , it’s missing something. The staff were very polite and friendly. This place needs a re-think and a reset . I was one of 3 customers equal to the number of...
