When I asked to pay the bill, the owner told me "don't worry, I will bring you the bill". He then went to talk to the only other guests. Then he left to bring the trash away (walked to another street). When he got back, I asked to pay the bill a second time. He told me, again, not to worry, he will bring the bill. Thank you Chef for the treat. It really made my trip in Marseille. Chef kindly introduced us to the food on the menu for the day (in English because we cannot speak French), and he told us the menu would change every day as he would see what to get from the market. The food was truly delightful, a masterpiece from the chef!

The atmosphere was wonderful! We have the best chef here at La cesta de Lucia, serving only a few tables.

Quaint little place in an alley way in La Panier. “Not a restaurant” but a come in and leave as family place that’s is owned, managed, serviced by a local couple who cooks a limited menu of fresh dishes daily.
