Chez Lucas — Restaurant in Marseille

Small side of the street sandwich shop. Shop owner was amazingly nice person and passionate about his sandwiches and it showed in his food. My daughter 10 very picky about her food loved her pesto and ham sandwich. The shop owner also insisted she try their homemade tuna salad which she also loved. My wife got the pesto and ham also. I begrudging ordered one too. I usually do not eat any bread, in the USA I always get tired and choose not to go hunt around for good bread. Wow the sandwich was amazing and didn’t feel all the side effects of the crap bread from the USA.. all sandwiches seemed to be made to order, so please be understanding if there is a wait. We would have never even thought of this if it weren’t for our with locals tour guide. Which is why this shop needs reviews to point people in the right direction for amazing sandwich’s Just going to add the tour we were on was the urban street art tour. This was one of the best things I had to eat in Marseille. I was just looking for something simple to eat, like a baguette. But they’re not very available in Le Panier. I stumbled upon Lucas writing his menu of sandwiches for the day so I was fortunate to be his first customer of the day. He kindly recommended a sandwich for me with a smile. 5 minutes later I got his beautiful creation in my hands and the combination he puts together is a matter of great taste and quality ingredients. I got a second sandwich to-go for my train ride to Barcelona....
