La Fabrique Marseillaise - La Table De L'olivier — Restaurant in Marseille

I was visiting Marseille for business and wanted to have lunch - of course - bouillabaisse.

The restaurant came with good recommendations as well as being a member of the Bouillabaisse league as I understand it. I managed to make a reservation by phone (not always easy in France) and walked from the old port (there is also parking right opposite the restaurant if you need it). The restaurant was quite full. They have day formulas and chef suggestions but I got the famous Marseille fish soup. It came first as a soup with croutons and rouille mayo, followed by soup with 5 fishes (I was also asked duly for seconds which I agreed to). Dessert was a big chocolate dish or a lighter Pavlova (i got it) (cheese is also possible). The wine carte is not long but has all the nice local offerings as well as good Bourgogne. To finish this off, I got a local marc (grape distillate) which is quite hard to come by but appreciated by connoisseurs. I was told they do home delivery Bouillabaisse (full set to do it at home or office) and also have space for larger companies. Outside seating available. Expectacular experience with Marseillese food! The service was superb, I came in with the recommendation of Google of the best place in Maseille to have bouillabaisse . It's like the food this. Town is knows for. It was a whole culinary experience, the broth was the best! Shout out to the Chef! Merci beaucoup ! Amazing work on the dish! You have to come if you want to try this amazing fish and experience an awesome experience while visiting Marseille..it's worth every Euro . Just try to come with hunger , or you will need to walk an hour after the dish. We never had it and the server was super kind and helpful and explained everything to us and made us feel welcome. Absolutely amazing experience. Where do I start…we had the chickpea starter which offered three types of chickpea “chips” with a magical yellow sauce. Then we ordered the bouillabaisse with the burrata salad that came with a summer truffle. Wow. It was an amazing meal, and my partner could not stop eating the yellow sauce with everything! Can’t recommend this place enough, such a discovery in Marseille. Beyond excellent service and also ps the bread was to die for.
