I really enjoyed the grilled fish! It was properly done ✔ But the plantain was a huge disappointment. They used unripe plantain 😢 and therefore the taste wasn't good (for me) Also one portion is enough! DON'T bother with a starter cause you will even have to pack what's left of your food home with you. Lovely atmosphere with good African music. Great staff! Also they don't sell alcohol so it's kids friendly!. I took off one star cause of the plantain. In my opinion, plantain is worth 2 stars! Their baobab drink is delicious 😋 maybe ask for a tiny sip to see if it's to your liking. They are happy to give you a sip to know what it...

I really wanted this place to be good. We walked in, the server grunted at us. Then my daughter and I went to wash our hands, the server is now being yelled at viciously by an older lady. The server drops the menu and grunts. The older lady is still yelling but then decides maybe we need to order. We tried and the server decides we weren't fast enough so she left and continued to yell at the younger server. They now decided in unison to ignore us. Thus was our cue that we needed to leave, so we did.

We ended up in a much more friendly and delicious place down the street. It worked out...

Very nice Senegalese food in large portions - you will definitely not leave this place hungry. I can recommend the Alloko, it is a good mixture of fish, rice and salad. Be aware that when the waitress tells you the sauce served with the dish is spicy, it really is!

Three other things: The prices have been raised since the other photos here have been taken, the Alloko was now 14€. Still very much a good price. Bank card payment was not possible when I was there. Waiters could have been more attentive, but were quite friendly.

All around, would...

I was just strolling around the area when I stumbled upon Mame Diarra—and I’m so glad I did. If the name stands for "delicious food and get ready to be filled to the brim," then it absolutely lives up to it. I started with a little appetizer (because why not?), but the real star was the main dish. Let’s talk portions: generous. Taste? So good, I cleaned the plate. By the end of dinner, I had never felt this full—and in the best way possible. If you’re hungry and craving seriously satisfying food, Mame Diarra is the place to be. Can’t wait to go back!
