I typically visit Marseille about 2-3 times a year and when I do I usually stay at the Novotel Suites Euromed. This restaurant is about a 5 mins walk from the hotel. Every time I visit I have to come here. The owner, Raja Ram is one of the friendliest restaurant owners I've met in my life. He makes me feel at home and as if we have been friends forever. It doesn't even feel like I'm at a restaurant. The food is amazing and the most authentic Asian you will find in Marseille. My favourite dishes are the ha gao (steam shrimp dumplings) and the duck noodle soup. And obviously a great bottle of French red wine to compliment the meal. A great place for delicious Asian cuisine. The prices are very reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous – great value for money. What really stood out was the service. Many thanks to Virginie for her smiles and great hospitality – she made our visit even more enjoyable. The overall ambiance is cozy, friendly, and peaceful – perfect for a relaxed meal. The food was tasty but not authentic. The beef cut for the loc lac was not very good and overly chewy. The person who made the pho broth clearly lacks an understanding of how to make a Vietnamese broth. It didn't use the typical spices and instead made a garlic broth which was very nice but not pho. The noodles were a overcooked. The taste of the loc lac was tasty but the portion was a bit small.
