l’Arseillère — Restaurant in Montpellier

We came here on the recommendation of our Airbnb host and oh boy we were in for a treat. We started off with the yummiest picpoul before the food was brought out. The seafood was unbelievably fresh and sweet, and we loved everything so much we ordered seconds. I can’t bear the thought of eating oysters anymore because I know they will never taste as good as what I had here.

The desserts were also great! We tried everything they had, and they were all good; special mention goes to the homemade chocolate ganache which is a must order for all chocolate lovers.

The staff and boss were both friendly and gave great recommendations for our group. Kudos also for providing a never ending supply of bread which went so well with the butter and this garlic butter spread that came with the platter.

I highly recommend coming here for sunset, the view slaps!!! Do make reservations and bring some cash as they are cash only.

Excellent and wonderfully fresh shellfish. They are producers of a small amount of oysters, mussels, and razor clams that they sell to a select few restaurants and customers or you can eat them on property. We had broiled Coteau and mussels, chilled fresh anchovies which were served plain but were superb. They had a special that day of ever-so-delicately poached oysters which were then cooled with two different marinades: pomelo and ginger, and tomato chive and garlic. This was the favorite dish of the group. A really great Tart Tatin and a salted caramel and peanut ice cream dipped in milk chocolate for the win! Puis une ardoise attire notre attention: TaPaS De ''TA'' MêRe 😳😁

Et là c'est décidé on y va. Le patron, dynamique, nous reçoit avec le sourire et nous installe sur sa terrasse. Tout d'abord nettoyage de la table avec le vapo Sanytol! Il nous présente donc son ardoise avec son panaché de tapas. Nous optons pour le BIG plateau de coquillages pour 2, contenant notamment 24 huîtres issues de leur propre production, la Tielle une tuerie😋⚡, le tout pour un prix très très très raisonnable vu le lieu, la qualité des produits et l'accueil très familial hors chichis pompons!

Tout est tellement délicieux et que dire de la présentation des assiettes et plats, de l'accueil et du service très sympathique et jovial du patron ainsi que son serveur.

On est TELLEMENT DÉÇU🤢 que l'on décide d'y revenir le soir même🌚😁 pour nous casser le ventre avec la fameuse ardoise🤣 LeS TaPaS De ''TA'' MêRe😳😁 L'ardoise est composée de TaPaS toutes faites maison et toutes plus délicieuses les unes que les autres, ce qui s'avère être un véritable régal😋

Bref vous savez quoi?? Appelez, réservez (car c'est plein et vous comprendrez pourquoi sur place) et APPRÉCIEZ! Dans une ambiance familiale, détendue hors sentiers battus des restos in tourist.

À noter, la patronne est tout aussi adorable et passionnée par son travail !

On peut même jouer à la pétanque avant pour savoir qui paiera l'apéro ou après pour le dijo, en face sur la promenade bordant l'étang de Thau.
