La Ferme Marine - La Tablée — Restaurant in Montpellier

Located in a place of oyster production, the views are very nice. Staff impeccable. But as a renewed wake-up call to avoid buffets in general, I dined lunch on March 12, 2025 which should have greeted me with fat, creamy shellfish. However the buffet lingered and strived to become in my mind a pearl. The reality is the oysters, mussels, shrimp, crayfish on this particular day were sub par. Oysters it seems had a life of strife indicated by them clinging to the sides of their shell, drying themselves and clutching for relevance at the end of their life. Crayfish struggling as if saying please chef, you should have made us into a sauce days ago. Our dear friends the mussels of the sea were also tired and fatigued either uncooked or overcooked with garlic and herbs. The exception was the shellfish pasta salad. Nice seafood buffet but not convenient for family. Arrogant service and outside tables with nice view only if everyone eats seafood. If someone wants to eat meat, we had to understand that we have to eat all inside!!! You can have the best awards for your oysters, if your arrogant waiter think like this, hopeless.

Then, the waiter consistent arrogance was too much especially regarding one question on the seafoods. We ask origins of seafood and we got a lessons why we cannot find some species in Mediterranean Sea. We never told him that we expected that everything should be from local producers.

Nous sommes venus à 4 personnes avec réservation. Bien que la cuisine et notamment dans le cas du buffet soit correct à quelques exceptions près. Le service à table quant à lui était franchement déplorable. La personne de l'accueil était souriante donc rien a dire à son sujet. Mais à table, la personne s'étant occupée de nous nous a d'abord fait attendre plus de 20 minutes et a eu l'audace de nous envoyer une pique lorsqu'elle a constaté que nous ne l'avons pas attendu pour aller au buffet. Globalement, elle avait un ton hautain lors des prises de commande ultérieures. L'ambiance quant à elle est très bruyante et cela relève du chaos pour aller chercher quelque chose au buffet, notamment à cause du fait que les assiettes ne sont qu'à un seul endroit autour duquel tout le monde s'agglutinent. En résumé, pour un buffet à 36,40€(qui n'inclut pas de dessert) par personne, j'attends un niveau de qualité supérieure sur tout le tableau mais surtout au niveau du service, la politesse n'est pas une option. Et pour clôturer le repas, une attente de plus de 20 minutes pour les desserts qui heureusement était correct. Sans oublier que je me suis presque fait envoyer bouler pour aller payer discrètement sans attendre la serveuse parce que cela était censé être un cadeau. Et, dans la catégorie hygiène, plutôt que de nous remplir notre carafe d'eau, nous avons eu la carafe d'une autre table. Sachant que sur tout le long du repas personne ne nous a changé l'eau, nous avons été obligés de nous lever jusqu'au bar pour la changer car la serveuse ne nous l'a...
