Le Guru is cool without trying too hard. It's got that laid-back, creative energy that Montpellier seems to do really well—colourful interiors, casual staff, and a menu that mixes street food vibes with smarter cooking.

I had a bao bun starter that was full of flavour and a Thai-influenced fish dish that was punchy and fresh. The portions were generous, and there’s definitely an international twist to everything, but still done with care and technique.

Drinks are a strong point—great cocktails, especially if you like something fresh and herbal, and a small but funky wine list that fits the eclectic food. The staff were fun, chilled and happy to make suggestions depending on your mood or dish.

We were really looking forward to trying this lovely little fusion restaurant for dinner, but like total amateurs, we showed up without a reservation. Thankfully, we managed to come back for lunch the next day—and it was absolutely worth it.

Since it was lunch, we kept it light and tried just two dishes: the duck curry rice and the Peking-style duck. Both were cooked perfectly.

As Asians, we really appreciated how well the fusion flavors were balanced. The curry was rich but not overpowering, with a nice tangy twist from other ingredients that kept it refreshing. The Peking-style duck had just the right touch of Asian influence without going over the top, and the duck itself was flavorful and perfectly cooked.

My friend and I vusited on March 27th not knowing the worst service ever that we would experienced in my entire life! We were treated like afro american in the segrigated USA. we are both asians. We have waited more than 45 min before even drink was served, whereas everybody who vame later was served much earlier.
