I always say that I would rather eat in a restaurant with a small choice that one with a massive menu. The former is likely to serve freshly cooked good food whilst the latter is likely to use frozen or bought in products. However, I have never been to a restaurant with only 3 main course options. There a number of 'planches', platters of cheese, smoked fish etc as starters but the main courses were Marmites (casseroles) of fish, meat or vegetables. We both had the fish Marmite, which was substantial and served with lots of bread. There were lots of mussels, large prawns and white fish together with plenty of vegetables. La salle du restaurant est jolie mais nous avons dĂ©jeunĂ© dans le jardin Ă lâarriĂšre car le temps sây prĂȘtait. Un grand arbre et des parasols donnent une ombre agrĂ©able Ă lâendroit.
Nous sommes arrivĂ©s en semaine Ă 13:30 en juin 2022. Service simple et efficace. Les toilettes propres sont au fond de ce qui semble ĂȘtre un local de service dans lequel il ne fait pas hĂ©siter Ă entrer.
La carte assez simple est composĂ©e de planches froides et de marmites chaudes. Nous avons choisi deux marmites individuelles. Les composants changent peut-ĂȘtre selon les jours. Carafe dâeau en boisson.
(+) Marmite de poissons. 16,80âŹ. ComposĂ©e de morceaux de poisson blanc (cabillaud annoncĂ© par le serveur), de saumon (pas annoncĂ© par le serveur),de moules et divers lĂ©gumes en sauce, cette marmite est servie gĂ©nĂ©reusement (notamment de trĂšs grosses et petites moules). Le plat est bon notamment la sauce qui semble ĂȘtre Ă base de bisque.
(+) Marmite de viande. 16,80âŹ. ComposĂ©e de joue de porc et de nombreux lĂ©gumes (navets, carottes) dont il faut le souligner, une betterave rouge assez rarement servie chaude. La viande Ă©tait bien mijotĂ©e. Ce plat est gĂ©nĂ©reux et bon.
(+) Charlotte malakoff aux amandes. 8âŹ. Servie en tranche cette charlotte a peu de biscuit et beaucoup de crĂšme au bon goĂ»t dâamande. Un dessert un peu dĂ©sĂ©quilibrĂ© par manque de biscuit mais nĂ©anmoins bon. Nous avons pris ce dessert pour 2.
