My experience with this place was good but not exceptional. To note: tap water is free.
It's not far if you decide to have a walk from the elephant (machine d'île). There's a parking near this Magma too. The concept of this place is food court. There are several cooks with different concept that are inspired from different countries.
They have food stalls for: hamburger Afghanistan Toast (they make like sandwiches) Sweets (french cakes, etc) South America (real tacos 🌮) Korean Italy French etc (I didn't remember all)
I ordered korean dish and Italian dish.
For korean dish: Being an asian I was happy with the taste. The Tteobboki was good and the chicken tasted good too. But I have to be honest that the portion of rice was a bit small for the price. I really appreciate the experience, but I have to admit there was something missing. They gave some kind of coleslaw salad with sesame dressing as sides, it's like wanting to go korean but stay very european. I like it, tho! ☺ Btw I found that the price for a small can of soda is not worth it, I am very sorry.
For the pizza: The pepperoni pizza was good. I don't know what the cheese was but it tasted good, just hard to eat because he was eating with hand and the cheese kept on falling. I mean.. we should eat pizza with hands, right? The truffle pizza was good but there's something with the cheese that made it difficult to finish. Maybe it wasn't our taste but my s.o. who's french didn't really like the cheese either.
To remember: they don't accept restaurant ticket (ticket resto), and only card resto, which I felt disappointed because as an employee it's kinda expensive (I understand that the artisans have to be appreciated).
Also, if you're looking for tap water, they have tables with the carafe d'eau with some empty clean glassware. You can take it for free, or if you like to have something sweet to drink then there's a bar or the stalls are offering lunch packages with drinks.

Read moreWe ordered afghan dishes, and we were really disappointed. First, the two dishes were pretty much alike, basically rice and spinach. The one in the middle (boulani I think) was supposed to be a salad. None of them was especially tasty. The sauce accompanying the boulani was nothing special. The spinach was OK, but overall the dishes were disappointing in quality and quantity.
We may try a different stall next time. For us vegetarians/vegans, I think there were some options, but these are not always clear in the menus, they should learn to clearly mark the veggie options.
I also had a bad experience in the bar. There were 3 people working there and none of them served me. Other 2 customers came in after me, and were served before me. After 15 min wait, I left...
Read moreI absolutely recommend trying Patty Finest Burgers, their food is simply delicious. The smash burger is world class, perfect bun and sauce. Fries are so good, it’s obvious they searched for the best variety of potatoes and cooked them perfectly. No doubt it’s the best burger in Nantes. Despite the large choice at Magmaa, I’ve only ordered burgers the last five times I went there 😆. Why wouldn’t Patty Finest Burgers create their own location on Google Maps is a mystery.
Magmaa is large and friendly food court, beer selection is quite good too (IPAs, NEIPAs and Sour) and it has an outdoor. Great for groups and...
