Food - 2.5/5 The food at Miam was a very mixed bag. The gratin oysters were tasty and the french fries also very good but beyond that it was very disappointing. We went for the scallops and prawn platter with rice. The scallops were well cooked but both they and the prawns had a bitter, burnt off-flavour to them. We also ordered the duck - the duck was so over-cooked, it was hard and chewy like tyre rubber. Pretty horrendous.
Drinks - 2/5 They have a decent length wine list with local wines. However the ones we tasted we not good quality at all. The white that came included with the oysters was simply undrinkable, it had next to no flavour aside from an astringent bitterness. I didn’t know French wines could be that bad. I started with a glass of Champagne, which was laughably small and lacking any real Champagne character. We tasted two of the reds by the glass and both were disappointing.
Value for Money - 1/5 Horrendously overpriced. I don’t understand how the place is this popular with the high prices and low quality. I paid nearly €28 for a small lump of overcooked duck and some fries. Crazy. We paid over €120 for two people and left feeling quite ripped off.
Service - 3/5 The service is friendly enough and efficient but definitely inflexible. We asked for a couple of amendments to the dishes (fries for rice) and they wouldn’t accommodate it. Nor would they let us taste a wine they had on the menu by the glass when we were thinking of ordering a pichet or a bottle.
Atmosphere - 4/5 The place has a nice feel to it and a good atmosphere. I think this is the reason it is so busy. It definitely has a nicer feel than some of the neighbouring restaurants.
Conclusion Overpriced, average food and drink, served efficiently in a nice buzzy environment. No way it deserves 4.4/5. Personally, I’d save yourself 20 euros a head and go to Huitres et Compagnie or Le Plan B.
In response to the restaurant's reply: I love humble restaurants! But also good food. I'd suggest your restaurant isn't all that humble if the mains are €27 each. Plus if you are paying that much then you expect decent...

That’s about the end of the positivity you’ll get from us for our visit. It took 15-20 minutes before they were ready to take our order for grilled octopus and tuna tataki. It then took over an hour to get the food. We were starving. The dishes arrived barely lukewarm for the octopus and the entire tuna was ice cold as if it had been seared previously and re-refrigerated. As we were finishing our meals they remembered to offer us bread so we accepted. The bread showed up 10 minutes after we had finished our meals. We dared to ask if they had any butter to put on it and they showed up another 10 or so minutes later, after we finished the bread, and told us they didn’t have any. They asked if we wanted coffee or dessert and we said no and asked for the check instead. It never showed up and we got tired of waiting so went inside to find someone to pay and produce a bill for us so we could leave. He gave us the bill, we asked if he spoke English and he said yes and we told him it was the slowest and worst service we had in weeks of travel across France. He said “ok, thanks.” We paid and left.
The food was mediocre at best, maybe average to slightly good if it had shown up with reasonable cook times, the prices were very high for the area compared to other restaurants in the same port and the servers, while friendly, cannot make up for the dismal delays of food delivery or the forgetfulness of serving what they have been asked for.
We saw another table get up and leave after waiting too long to place their order and more than a few tables looking around to see who ordered first and who had their food and was still waiting. So our table was not an isolated delay event for the evening.
Steer clear and find something else. There are plenty of better options...
