Bella Ciela Nice Bar & Rooftop — Restaurant in Nice

We recently visited the rooftop bar overlooking Nice, and it was an incredible experience. The atmosphere was fantastic, offering a refreshing change from the usual street-level venues. The views were simply breathtaking, providing a perfect backdrop for a relaxed evening.

We tried the mojitos, piña coladas, and gin and tonics, and all of them were great. Each drink was well-crafted and delicious, enhancing our overall enjoyment of the evening. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed.

Adding to the charm of the evening was a surprise live singer and guitarist, who created a wonderful atmosphere with their music. It was an unexpected delight that made the experience even more memorable.

One of the highlights was the cleanliness of the bathrooms, as the bar is part of a hotel. It was a small detail, but it added to the overall pleasant experience. Although we didn’t try the pizza, it looked good and might be something to consider for our next visit.

We spent two hours here and were never served our drinks. When we stepped off of the elevator, the staff looked at us but said nothing. There was one bartender and two servers. We decided to go outside to take pictures during the sunset and have our drinks there. 45 minutes outside and no one came to take our order. We decided to move inside since the sun set it was too cold outside. We found a table in front of the bar and then I went to order our drinks. I addressed the waiter in French and he told me that he doesn't take orders directly. That I had to order with the server that was standing right beside him. I ordered our drinks in French with the server standing right next to the bartender and then sat and waited. 30 minutes later. A white couple walk in and address the waiter in English. They ask if they can seat themselves and the waiter responds in English that they may have a seat outside if they wish. As they are leaving, he calls them back and asks them for their drink order. I've been coming here from time to time for two years, it's a nice atmosphere, drinks are good, food not so... The service tonight was good until the waitress instead of bringing us the bill just brought the card machine and divided the bill how she decided... Seriously? Maybe you should educate your stuff it's not ok, you are obliged to present the bill, and then customers decide what they pay. She actually brought me a card machine, and I said I'm not paying that as I only had a drink while my friend were eating then; she was like 'what are you paying'? Maybe you bring the bill first and I know what I am paying?! Never had this experience nowhere in the world really. Some uneducated waitress will tell me what to pay because she can only decide the bill half and can't count? Outrageous for the hotel...
