Update- avoid this place, They increased the price, reduced size and reduced bread quality! Baguette Ancienne is just a regular baguette now, Last 4 times I get wrong baguette, I thought by mistake, but not… bread is no more the same quality. See the pictures. Shame for the owners. Located about 250m from Port de Nice Lympia, Lagache is a great place to enjoy some freshly baked treats. We tried several different items. The loaf of French bread was particularly hard and useful for beating someone who is annoying you. Our favorite was an almond bread with cream inside (I don't know the name) and a cylindrically shaped bread that is dense and perhaps toffee flavored (this one is circled in picture). Items are well priced. One of the shopkeepers was impatient with us because we couldn't decide what we wanted in less than 0.5 seconds, but the other woman was happy to serve us...

Yesterday we ordered two coffees here, they made it, at the moment we had pay cashier said they don’t accept Credit Cards today. I said we have no cash and cashier dropped two coffees in the trash bin. We are refugees from Ukraine and we left our homes with passport and credit cards and bank not allowing to get any cash from ATM, but we can use terminal only.
