What a pleasant surprise our evening at "Les Amoureux¨! There was a queue to enter the place and I was considering going somewhere else, when I saw a simpatic type talking with the people in the line. When I asked him about getting a table, I was surprised with his extreme friendliness and brutal honesty: he assured me that I would get a table, as soon as all other customers ahead of me were satisfied. I had a good feeling about it and stayed. It was the right decision. Later I realized that the guy in the door was the owner, Ivan. When my turn arrived, he was there for me and for everything. He helped with the pizza selection and the wine, and later with the desert, the espresso and the digestiv. It's the high ranking that led me to this pizzeria. Being an italian and having lived for years in Italy, I can reckon what it's called a good pizza or not. And I consider that Les Amoureux is not part of the "good" pizza category. I'm not saying either it's a bad one, but the pizza has been strongly over-ranked and it's doesn't deserve this fame.
