A truly amazing place! We found it when we were looking for some nice beer pub, but it exceeded our expectations by a huge margin! First things first - they have a nice selections of craft beers brewed by themselves and by some friends of theirs. The beers are quite diverse if their taste profiles and executed really really well. On top of this the place has a really nice atmosphere (I guess you can call it "upscale" compared to most beer pubs) and really amazing food. Every dish there is made on the spot, and is beautifully presented. The owners are proud of using only high-quality (mostly local) products I'm fairly certain I've never experienced food at this high level at taproom. I can heartily recommend their meat plate, the burger and the hot-dog and the pumpkin veloute.
Last, but not least - amazing service! Everyone there was very friendly, helpful and you could see the passion of the people for what they were doing. I loved some small touches of the service like bring us random beers samples to see if we'd like some brew, or the chef serving every dish himself. Kudos to the team for creating such a...
Read moreThis fantastic taproom and restaurant is a hidden gem of Nice. They produce a range of incredible beers (available in a selection of sizes so you can try multiple different types in one sitting) along with a delicious food menu and regular special Plats du Jour.
I have visited a number of times over the past few months and have enjoyed every time, with new beers and dishes to try on a regular basis, as well as themed live music nights, which are a real treat. Aside from that, there is a friendly and chilled vibe, and the owner takes real pride in their beers and is very happy to share his knowledge.
I highly recommend the meatball dish, which is served with freshly made chips and an excellent home made sauce (has to be tasted!). The Blanche beer made with Menton lemons is a genuine taste experience, as is the Flanders Red Ale. Finish with a dessert (depends on the day) or the special ‘Hydromel’ mead, which is sweet with a unique flavour.
Without a doubt my favourite restaurant...
Read moreI’ve been coming to Nice for August every year for a decade. The beer I think even the locals would admit hasn’t been great. If you are in Nice and you like beer, or in fact food or drink at all, you absolutely have to visit here. The owner is so passionate and knowledgeable about what he does and the beer is spectacular and unique take on the Nicoise beer style. Unique beer that covers German beer like Kolsch, NEIPA with a twist and Belgian beer after the owner’s heritage. I’ve been to hundreds of breweries around the world and this is one the most memorable. The food was also amazing and my wife said it was the best cheese plate she’s ever had. The drinks other than beer are carefully selected and the owner puts his stamp behind it. I couldn’t recommend it more and will be back every time I come to Nice. Also our 4 month old son Charlie was the first baby in...
