Boston Bar — Restaurant in Nice

We came here on a recommendation from a local who apparently frequents this bar often. We arrived and it was clearly empty and looked completely dead. The security guard and manager standing in front gave us an up-down look and said they were “reservation only” to turn us away.

We should have checked the reviews before coming here - if we had seen the amount of negative recent reviews, we DEFINITELY would not have wasted our time.

Never felt so unwelcome, turned up at 6pm only x8 people seated at the time, we were told there was no space for us outside only after 2 minutes of the x3 big ‘bouncers’ eyeing both of us up in a cold stern way. Eventually let us through but then decides to spend my money elsewhere. Seriously this is the most unwelcoming place I think I’ve ever experienced. Such a shame as we were looking forward to enjoying the venue. Don’t bother wasting your time unless you’re accepting of this type...

We were visiting the city with friends, all being working professionals in our late twenties, well spoken and obviously well dressed. The Boston came recommended.

We didn't get to enter because we were 4 males, in spite of the fact that the place was far from being full.

Having diner next door, we later heard the music and realised they were playing Britney Spears and the Spice Girls...
