I visited Felix after seeing great reviews on social media, it definitely did not live up to the standards. Myself and my partner were looking forward to getting the Ribeye Steak French Fries with the Félix sauce. We ordered drinks and began to order our food when we discovered from our waitress that “it had came through there was no steak”. We were given no time to look and choose something else, it was obviously a big hurry even though there was no queue and lots of empty seats, so on the spot we both picked something quickly: the caesar salad and beef stew. It came out suspiciously quick, the beef was bland - it was not filling at all it was just some beef plopped on top of some mashed potatoes. It could do with some seasonal vegetables to add some satiety for a dish that costs €23. The Caesar salad was just threw together as a dead head of lettuce with some breaded chicken goujons fired on top. It was probably the worst Caesar salad we have had, you would be better getting one from the supermarket. The service was impersonal, and we payed using the QR code on the table as we were honestly fed up at that point. This left us in a bad mood for the evening. We are tourists visiting Nice, and have had delicious meals and experiences in many other restaurants, it’s just a pity this one wasn’t like the rest. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to any tourist visiting there is much nicer restaurants in the old town. It is just a cheap restaurant dressed up nicely as a cash...
Read moreAfter hearing many people recommend Felix, my friends and I visited for food and then drinks in the speakeasy upstairs afterwards. The food was for the most part okay, apart from a really poor cut of steak which cost €31. We were then ushered upstairs and ordered further drinks, which were coincidentally more expensive than the restaurant, where I asked for a double shot of grey goose vodka with lemonade. The menu read 2cl being €7 and 4cl being €14. My drink came and it tasted so unpleasant, I couldn’t finish it. When we came to pay the bill I was then charged €28 for the vodka and after questioning it, told they had put 4 shots of vodka in the drink (8cl). The bar staff told us it was a miscommunication on our part and said we had asked for a double glass, meaning 4 shots in one drink. A further lady rudely came to speak to us about this and she wasn’t apologetic in the slightest, stating it’s the same in England where it’s in fact not even legal to serve a drink with an alcohol contents that high. What was supposed to be lovely evening, ended in me paying over €50 for an experience I left feeling taken advantage of. There was no apology from any of the bar staff for their mistake and I will certainly not be returning. If you are a young group of friends on holiday, visit felix at your own risk of...
Read moreDefinitely the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Our experience started off with disrespectful staff, shouting rudely when asked to repeat, and mocking every question we had about the food. The bread then arrived, which was hard and stale, but was nevertheless edible. But then our meals came and exceeded all expectations. The breaded veal was disgusting and the meat stank, both the veal and the lamb tasted like meat thawed five days ago, borderline rotten if not already. The puree had the taste of cheese left in the sun, and the vegetables had no taste at all. Even the salmon tartar was inedible, tasted like bites of bitter water and left a very bad aftertaste in the mouth. After tasting this monstrosity of a meal we asked for the check, and as the waiter removed our 90% full plates, missing maybe 3 or 4 bites, he didn't bother to even ask. Just picked up all the plates and smacked the check on the table. I would give 0 stars if I could. No one should ever eat there, this place has zero respect for guests and for themselves, and for food in general. A joke of a trap to lure hungry tourists by being open late. Summary: A scam and a waste of food, never go there. Literally better to eat junk food or even...
