Emilie and the Cool Kids Vieux Nice — Restaurant in Nice

It’s morning, my friends and I are in dire need of coffee and breakfast, and we have absolutely no idea where to go. We’re new in Nice, wandering the streets like caffeine-deprived zombies, when we stumble upon this place. Desperate, we grab a bagel to go. And wow. It hits the spot.

Fast forward to our last day in the city. After an unfortunate breakfast attempt elsewhere, where neither the atmosphere nor the menu were particularly welcoming.. like a revelation, we remembered the bagel. The one from the other day. So, we did what any rational people would do: we went back.

Not only was the place adorable, but the staff were super welcoming.

This time, we went all in: coffees, bagels, avocado toast, cookies, raspberry citronnade, pancakes. Everything was just as good as we remembered, and the warm atmosphere made it even better.

I’ve had great experiences at all locations but think this is my favorite. The staff is always so nice and welcome you in. Quick, efficient service and a cool vibe in this cafe. A variety of tables in back and a restroom for customers. Sometimes I sit at one of the back tables to soak in the ambiance, and other times out on the sidewalk and people watch. The coffee is always good and the chocolate chip cookies are signature and a must at least once in awhile. They have lait vegétale options, which always makes me happy. Prices are appropriate and the experience is always all-around lovely. I have been in Nice for a month and came here to do a bit of work, cookies are average to me at best, coffee isnt that great, but the winner of the award of creating this place what it is, is its lovely staff who are anything but lovely, incredibly rude dismissive and you feel as though you are almost disturbing them by ordering something, just unnecessary but i dont know how hard it is to work in a coffee shop so i cant say, however i go to many coffee shops as thats where i work and this is just not the best, mostly it is just two or three staff that are rude, i have never actually given a review this bad in my life but congratulations as you deserve it, you've worked for it, you've...
