We had a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant, and I feel compelled to warn others.
The setting is undeniably beautiful – but that’s where the positives end. My husband ordered the Cheese Burger for €21, expecting a high-quality meal with Black Angus meat. What he got was a dry, flavorless patty with the texture of cheap, frozen minced meat that had just been slapped onto the grill. You could still see the lines from the meat press – it looked and tasted industrial. The fries were limp, soggy, and clearly not freshly made. Honestly, we’ve had better meals at fast-food chains – for a fraction of the price.
I ordered a coffee and a mousse au chocolat. The coffee was watery and bland – far from what you’d expect at a place that charges premium prices. The dessert was forgettable.
When the waiter saw that we hadn’t touched most of our food, he asked how it was. I told him honestly that it was horrible – and instead of taking the feedback professionally, he got defensive and passive-aggressive. He insisted the food was “freshly prepared” and claimed the problem was with our personal taste. He repeatedly blamed our choice to order the burger well done, ignoring the fact that the meat quality was simply poor and the fries were clearly old. Not once did he apologize or show any sign of customer care. It was as if he took our criticism as a personal insult, not as valid feedback from paying customers.
This was one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had in years. Charging €21 for a frozen-tasting burger and cold fries is not just disappointing – it’s borderline insulting. Steer clear of this place if you care about your money, your taste buds, and...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience. We were in a group of 3 but only 2 of us wanted a meal. We ordered a pizza to share because the portion sizes are quite large (they charge you an extra €4 to share between 2 people) and drinks. The waitress looked annoyed at us whilst taking our order and left. Then 5 mins later she came back and demanded that the third person order a full meal (around €20). I heard of a restaurant that requires every person to order a separate meal and any restaurant I’ve come across that has a minimum spend has it clearly stated on the menu or customers are told beforehand. We were confused and said we would leave instead but she shouted at us demanding that we must stay because she already sent in our order. Have no idea why she wouldn’t tell us this before sending our whole order to the kitchen. Fortunately, we spoke to another waiter who sorted the issue but overall our experience was just unpleasant. The food was ok but quite expensive and the waitress was rude and ruined our whole mood. Requirements such as this need to be stated and made clear before our order is taken. It honestly felt like a bad tactic to get more money from gullible tourists and I would not recommend going to...
Read moreWe were genuinely shocked by how bad everything was at L’Antre Potes. From the moment we arrived, the service was a complete disaster — slow, rude, and careless. The staff acted like they were doing us a favor just by taking our order, and we were ignored for long stretches while other tables that arrived later were served first. Even getting basic things like water or bread took multiple reminders.
When the food finally arrived, it was honestly disgusting. My dish tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave, and the ingredients were far from fresh. The presentation was sloppy, the flavors were off, and everything was either overcooked or dripping in grease. Nothing resembled what was described on the menu, and we left most of it untouched.
To make it worse, the bill was outrageously high for the quality of what we received. For the price they charge, you’d expect at least decent food or polite service — we got neither. Èze has so many incredible places to eat, but this was an absolute disappointment from start to finish. Save yourself the frustration and spend your...
