La Réserve de la Mala — Restaurant in Nice

The cove that this club sits in is absolutely stunning, the beach was great and the water was refreshing and cool..which is the only positive thing I will likely say here.

For a “premier club” as they seem to market themselves as, this does not pass the test when compared to others of quality caliber in the area. The service was atrocious even when repeatedly asking for something there was often a snub and an eye roll from the servers. The food was not great, very limited options and everything that was ordered was sub par at best.. including the summer truffle pizza which is something I thought couldn’t be messed up.

The prices are higher but I was fully expecting and fine with this based on how this is marketed. Wine and cocktails are served in plastic cups which really cheapened the 100€ bottle of rose that we ordered.. many other clubs offer better vessels for drinking.

The club sits between two public beaches which patrons of those public beaches trot through the restaurant all day. It’s disruptive and honestly if I were to come back to the beaches I would just go to the public beach as it seems just as nice and there’s no chance of disappointment on service.

Overall there were a lot of things about this club that made it feel cheap and frankly a little trashy. If that is your vibe feel free to ignore my review however I wouldn’t come back here if I was paid based on...

We were considering getting a bottle for our family with my gf, then there was these Australians hitting on my gf while I was looking away.

What shocked me even more was how manipulative they were — pretending to be in trouble just to lure her over.

They were all dressed like overweight Pitbull, and at first, I even mistook them for Italians. To make matters worse, they initially hid their Australian accents to seem more appealing. That level of sneakiness was honestly shocking.

Real Italian men tend to be more straightforward and intelligent. If they want to imitate them, they should start by imitating their character, not just the surface.

When I told an Italian friend about this, he was genuinely offended — said it was extremely insulting.

The idea that they think women around the world can be fooled by such shallow tactics is deeply disrespectful.

They clearly have no sense of time, place, or occasion — hitting on people at a beach where others go specifically to find peace and quiet.

They can't compete with real alpha males at party beaches, so they choose quiet spots where no one asked for this, disturbing everyone’s peace. It’s the kind of nuisance that benefits no one.

My boyfriend and I first came to La Reserve with no reservations at around 2pm. While they did not have any sun beds, we were able to eat lunch there and it was delicious. We were also able to talk to the host and reserve sun beds for a later date. Mind you we are Asian Americans and we did not feel discriminated against and they were pretty nice. A few days later we came back to enjoy the sun beds and were able to order lunch there as well. There were no towels for rent but thats ok. The food was delicious after a long day of swimming. We ordered the lobster pasta for two, ice cream, and drinks. The ice cream was huge and could honestly feed 4 people. Coming from Los Angeles, I think the pasta is a good deal and the lobsters were a good size. Ice buckets helped keep it cold as well. The workers were really nice and helped us get situated. They were really busy that day but whenever we flagged them down, they were able to help us with anything we needed. I would come back again and would love to bring my family. Thank you La...
