Mamma Roma Gioffredo — Restaurant in Nice

Terrible experience. An owner is an extremely rude person, I've never experienced such service anywhere. We were walking around Nice with my friend and she decided to have a slice of pizza and a drink. I didn't want a pizza since I don't eat cheese, so I didn't order anything. When she already paid, her order was packed to "take away", she told that she would like to eat at the place since there were a lot of empty tables. The owner started yelling at her like crazy that she has no right to eat their as the second person didn't order the food. He was extremely rude and he was making a show of it. I told him that I am confused that he didn't inform us that we can only take away before making an order, after that he started to yell even more and throwing cash saying "I don't need your money". I wouldn't have a problem if he explained politely that we need to order something on top or informed us that the order will be packed for take away in advance. But he is just arrogant and extremely impolite person. I've never seen such an attitude towards...

Terrible experience. On Sundays, there's no menu. Even though no external sign, I can live with that. Then, went to order and pasta was not being made then. Just pizza and salad. Order pizza and soda. Soda is warm, then I decide to request ice. Waitress looks at me as though I was from Mars. Pretends to go inside and look for ice. "No ice", that's all she said. No apologies, no anything. Pizza comes. Oily and far from "the Italian experience" we'd been promised. I go to the cashier and ask for my check. Waitress does not know what the order was. I retell, and she goes "ok, ok, got it...". I'm overcharged. I pay. Ask for the receipt and she gives me with the worst look in her face. I realize I was overcharged and ask her for the difference. Gives me two Euros as though I was a beggar. I re-add the bill and it's still overcharging me. Waitress humphs and puffs, and no apologies heard. Unfortunately it wasn’t communicated to me that the Menu of the day was only for 1 person and could not be shared between 2 customers sitting down. I had the surprise at the till and had to pay for the individual items instead of the items being part of the menu offer. I did specify what I wanted when I arrived, so the owner knew I was looking for the menu offer. If I had been told clearly, I would have bought an additional drink or item for my friend, which would have ended up costing me less than the 3 euros extra I was charged! Otherwise the pizza is good, as I had been to this place before....
