Welcome to the Brazilian statehouse, where you will find all the best mockeries of Brazilian food all year round!
This was the most disappointing restaurant we have ever been in France
Let me preface this with a disclaimer, I am Italian and my wife is Brazilian, both living in Portugal for 6 years.
We came here to eat a bit of my wife traditional food and “matar a saudade” of Brazil, we left with disappointed tastebuds and bellies.
I won’t even comment the price, it’s high for what it is but to each its own.
Let’s start with service, manager greeted us, Asian with no Portuguese, first red flag. Explained us the menu and we pointed out it does not explain well that the buffet price is mandatory, he complained saying he is explaining it now so it’s clear, ok, second red flag.
We order drinks and ask for guarana with an orange slice, as it’s supposed to be served, and they don’t have orange slices. Answer was that we are in France not Brazil, no orange slices here. Ok, maybe remember that next time you put Brazilian in the restaurant name.
Buffet is just a bunch of sauces with some tomatoes and canned beans with laurel. No flavour, all looks and no substance, worthless.
Moqueca was ok, not great but ok.
Meat was horrible, I bought a 800g picanha and the meat tastes like blood, there is hardly any seasoning, we ordered medium rare and it arrived overcooked. We complained the chef said it was medium even though it’s gray, he offered to recook just one small piece as rare and this one tasted even worse.
In the menu it states picanha is best appreciated well done, anyone who went to Brazil would know that to be a red flag aswell, sadly we didn’t want to believe it.
The rice tastes like it’s spoiled and with bad butter, so much so that it’s very hard to eat and sticky, which is also an other red flag.
Bottom of the story?
If you know Brazilian food, don’t go If you don’t know Brazilian food, go somewhere else, here it’s not Brazilian If you hate Brazilian food, come here, maybe you will like this.
I would give a negative star...
Read moreWe arrived and it was really crowded already. The guy said we could go in if we leave by 9pm and because it was still 7pm I said yes though I don't see the question too professional per say. Most of the staff is professional though. The meat was not properly cooked though we said to prepare our beef well done, you'd still see the blood coming out of some pieces. Although not the worst ever I've ever been, I...
